why are anime characters drawn white??

I guess it all depends on what you see as Asian in Anime, a lot of characters in this thread that was said to look European actually look more Asian to me.

I've read somewhere that they don't see themselves as white. When they draw this stuff up.. its how they see themselves (aside from the blonde hair blue eyed ones???). To us it just looks white... with you know, all the racial shyt going on I guess.. I never really payed it any mind
