practicing what?
every cultures, roots/traditional ways (in it's pure original form) diminish to some degree over time but that's why, you preserve and take it back to oldschool so it never leaves
Practicing the root elements of the “culture” ... only a few ... and those few are often in residence at a university or a museum or a historical spot .
I honestly don’t see many taking it back like that anymore ... even many of the churches aren’t seeing old spirituals anymore ... that’s really disheartening ... you gotta go to an old persons churchg or church in the country to hear old spirituals now. Some of the lil storefront churches still doing it with younger worship leaders ...
Listen man I’m all for preservation of black culture ... but I don’t see that in most black, middle class households of newer parents in their mid to late 20s and 30s ... you are seeing a resurgence of what’s now woke parenting where there’s documentation on FB and IG of black history and Afrocentricity being promoted to their children ... and that’s cool ... that’s still not really common like that , but I thing the “woke” wave can reinspire preservation and history teaching and active practicing of black cultural elements in black households.
Just wanna be clear, I appreciate what you’re trying to convey and teach.
