Seems like theyre playing off people saying they jobbed themselves out

I dont mind Cody's booking He is easily the most over and credible pure babyface they have. His work has improved leaps and bounds and he has had a lot of good matches (One of the few, if not only legit 5 star match in AEW with Dustin).

I'd more concerned with how fukking washed and regular degular Kenny has looked in AEW. As someone who got into NJPW later than almost all of the TSC regulars, I was told to start in late 2016/early 2017 in terms of what to watch. This coincided directly with Kenny's rise and reign as the Best Bout Machine. Was easily my favorite to watch when I was catching up.

It's actually kind of sickening watching this version when you know how great he can be and receiving the lukewarm reactions he gets because he's been booked like a chump.

Their match when Omega was champ was Page best match imo. He went for that flippy closeline and caught a mean v trigger dude got knocked loopy for a bit. it wasn't concerning to me cause it fit with the theme of the episode which was The Elite starting to doubt themselves for losing too much

then they all won their matches and Page refused to celebrate with em, indicating he might turn in the imminent future

ignoring all that to single out Cody and say he's Jeff Jarrett status is too reactionary, let's wait til the next PPV at least to see what happens

The theme of the goddamn show was "Has the Elite fallen off?" They spent three months trying to build others.

Cody last night made Darby look like an absolute star. Doesnt matter that he didnt win because he is young and will have his shot. And especially it took strategy from one of the greatest ring psychologists IN HISTORY to beat him.

AEW is fine. Id be more concerned that there isnt a bigger overreaching angle to react to. The Dark Order aint it.
