Another lie, the family stated that while the movie was in production and the decision not to recast was already made. And the movie was originally supposed to come out this summer but got pushed back to November. So they didn't rush it.

So Disney didn’t contact Chad’s family? Gotcha

The movie got delayed because Leticia Wright got injured on set :dahell:

If that didn’t happen the movie would have still made it’s initial May 2022 release date which was set when Chad WAS ALIVE.

They didn’t delay shyt because he died and even rushed Coogler to draft up a brand new story and script that doesn’t feature it’s main character so that it could STILL make the initial release date.

“But Disney cares about Chadwick’s legacy and the feelings of the cast” :comeon:

Chad thinking he would recover to be able play the character doesn’t invalidate that he would want the character the to be recast :dahell:

“He never told us”?

“I think it’s important for kids, not just who are black but of all races to see this character. Because it expands our consciousness as to what a hero can look like” - Chadwick Boseman. :dahell:

Ryan Coogler had no power. Disney are not putting a decision like that into a directors hands for a big budget $200M release. Stop lying. That was pr to calm fans and negate people for questioning why they didn’t recast in the first place.
I am of the position we do not know his wishes. Just saying, while you are providing circumstantial evidence to bolster your case you know his wishes I'm doing the opposite showing he gave mixed messages. And the quote you keep referring to was already fulfilled. Black Panther has come out to great financial and critical success. So kids of all races have already seen the character and have the ability to be inspired by it.
Unless you have some behind the scenes information to share we have to go with the official word. And officially Feige said he left it up to Coogler and Coogler didn't push back against that claim.

I don't work at Disney I don't know whether the family was contacted or not. But I do know the brother didn't make their stance on recast known to the general public until late last year.
You really like to jump to conclusions. If Letitia never gets injured the movie never gets pushed back? The entire Phase 4 slate got pushed back, I doubt it's because of Letitia Wright. I highly doubt if she never got injured the movie would have came out on time. I never said it got delayed because he died. I just said it got delayed which is the opposite of it being rushed out like you are claiming. Regardless of why the movie being pushed back gave all involved more time to make the movie they want. And I didn't say Disney was on some caring shyt regarding g the delay either. You made that up as well.

I think people will feel the legacy of the OGs and get back on board when they finish introducing the Young Avengers.

Exactly Disney cared so much about Chad they didn’t even bother to delay the movie but instead rushed out a sequel

But I’m meant to believe they cared about the “feelings of the cast” in why they didn’t recast :comeon:

Like you said they say they’re “honoring” Chad’s legacy, but his family you know his ACTUAL legacy and the legacy he comes from said they believe he would have wanted the character recast and what did Disney do they ignored them. But Disney “care” :mjlol:

what are you babbling? Coogler had to rewrite the entire movie after Chad passed.

Furthermore, coogler and boseman were friends and Coogler didn't want to recast.

Just going to call cap here.. It took several years to get to the first avengers movie. We're only a year and a half in at this point and the links between each project have some great potential. I know very little in the way of comics, but its not hard to see where this is going, just off watchingsome if the breakdown videos. They are doing a great job with stuff like Loki, Wandavisi on and now Ms Marvel of fleshing out the environment and far off links. She Hulk should be great in that sense as well.

In the virtual press conference for the upcoming MCU streaming series Ms. Marvel, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige addressed the different directions/tones each Phase 4 project thus far has taken.

Feige told members of the press that, "the intention" was to differentiate these projects from one another with unique tones. He said, that the MCU doesn't necessarily "promise a particular group of characters and a particular exact tone," instead it is much more "a spirit and a style." He mentioned that this is what makes this franchise so unique, it's "being able to see all of those different tones and styles and characters:"

"That's always the intention, is that the Marvel Studios logo doesn't promise a particular group of characters and a particular exact tone. It promises a spirit and a style and a vibe and an emotion, I hope. And it's perfect timing to go from Moon Knight to Ms. Marvel, specifically because they're so unique and so different with Multiverse of Madness and Love and Thunder on either end of that. That is what makes Marvel in publishing and now in the MCU so unique, is being able to see all of those different tones and styles and characters. So I like very much that people say, 'Look, they're all different.' Because that's how we always feel about them and always want them to feel."

Phase one set the standard and expectations have changed. It’s not the same. So they can’t afford to keep taking shortcuts.

I don’t know how I feel about the MCU lately…
They’re pumping out too much content with no gameplan, and so many of the dopest fan favorite characters out of the picture at this point.

• Steve Rogers retired :flabbynsick:
• Iron Man is dead :rip:
• Spider-man is the goat, but you still have Sony clinging to the rights :comeon:
• Black Panther had next but Chadwick Boseman passed away in real life :mjcry:
• Thor, Hulk, and Strange SHOULD be the most OP dudes in the MCU, but the writers keep nerfing them just to prop up all these mid characters :mjtf:
(I hope they do right by She-Hulk though :lupe:)
• Black Widow could have been cool, but that joint came out way too late :snoop:
• Captain Marvel? Hard pass. :camby:
• They should have BEEN come out with Blade and the Fantastic Four by now :martin:
• They’re taking their sweet time with X-men :beli:
• You have all these wack, forgettable villains running around but no Galactus, Doctor Doom, or Magneto:why:

I just wish I knew what clear direction they had in mind for the future of the MCU at this point.

…and the writers better put some respect on Daredevil and the Kingpin since they’re both coming back for this Echo series that was just announced.
