what you smoking on B? Clooney?

Also, Fear and Loathing, Fight Club, American History X wasn't in this decade. And what are we talking in here, best run in the 2000s or best actor of all time? some of yall not really on topic. Johnny Depp had a dope 90s but real talk, he been coasting for a while now.

Leo might not be top 5 actor (truthfully most mentioned in this thread aren't top 5) but he definitely had a top tier run in the 2000s. Everything he was in was some dope shyt. Bale has had a good run but at the same time he was in a whole lot of movies, some really dope ones and some not so much. The thing about Leo is that everything he was in was dope.

In my opinion Denzel had the best run in 2000s, but after him Leo definitely is up there.

As far as best actors, gotta give my dude Forest Whitaker his props. He dont get the respect he deserves. Dude is one of the greats, outshines everybody in everything.

I was just talking about acting, not the ten year run. As far as that he had a brolic run. As far as Clooney: Good Night Good Luck, Syriana, Michael Clayton, Burn After Reading, The Men Who Stare At Goats, Ides of March, The Descendants....and that's in the last 10 years.

All of those good movies without mentioning Syriana, The American and Up In The Air and that's leaving out all of the work he put in before 05 :merchant:

:dahell: How did I forget Hoffman? Easily the most underrated actor in the business. Magnolia was another dope film he was in.

Yep...if he get a nomination for The Master that will be 4 Oscar nominations in 8 years. And Magnolia was straight..I just left it out since it was pre 2000....along with Twister, Boogie Nights, The Big Lebowski, Scent of a Woman, and The Talented Mr. Ripley.

Seen the bolded and all were damn good aside from PDL I didn't care for that but Hoffman was good in it. More people need to see Before the Devil knows You're Dead, it's on Netflix and I can't describe how good that one was. Finney, Hawke, and Tomei all held it down in that one plus the plot was compelling. I can't wait for the Master to come out on DVD. He and Joaquin Phoenix with Amy Adams you can't go wrong.

Joaquin, that rap stunt he pulled was :snoop:. Haven't seen the documentary but I remember that almost fukked up his career.

Fracture was the shyt but whenever I recommend Gosling flicks I always overlook Fracture for some reason, probably because LATRG and Blue Valentine were so crazy.

Mark Ruffalo's been putting in work for a while now but not best run of the 2000s type work. I slept on What Doesn't Kill You because it came out the same time as the Town, but man that one was good. I thought he and Hawke were mismatched roles before it hit its stride but they changed my mind

Leo is not Top 5 by any means but he has a great track record and is one of the best "star" actors (like Cruise, Will Smith etc). He makes great box office hits with good acting. His style is usually a bit darker than the other stars too. Id put Sean Penn and Russell Crowe just slightly above him

Some of his accents and emotions are a bit cliche like :leostare: but I usually always watch his movies and enjoy them for the most part. No disrespect to Leo

DDL, Oldman, Seymour-Hoffman are a completely different breed tho :ahh:

I ain't even gonna bring up Daniel Day tho. That's not fair to any actor.

Replace Seymour-Hoffman with Forest Whitaker and I agree with everything else you said

:rudy: Leo in Revolutionary Road, Blood Diamond, The Departed, Basketball Diaries, Catch Me If You Can >>>>>>>> Sean Penn in anything after Fast Times (and yes, I've seen Dead Man Walking, etc.)

Winning Oscars for Mystic River and Milk is some bullsh*t.

You don't have to even like Leo and have to admit it, the man deserves it. Get outta here with Ryan Gosling and Matt Damon, both are very overrated. Michael Shannon is ahead of these guys.

Christian Bale is good but arguably 3 of his top 5 movies are the same character, so I need to see more from him, The Prestige is one of my favourites though.

Now Hoffman is a sick actor, Whitaker beat Leo's Blood Diamond in Last King of Scotland, didn't see it l. Was it deserved?

Penn, Norton and Spacey are sick actors but not too much work from them lately. I haven't really seen Daniel Day but I grabbed There Will Be Blood today so I'll see how that is.

But props to Leo, not only are his roles good but it's very rare for his movies to be crap

Funny picture, but is your disagreement about the 2000's thing or the point of my post that he's not as good an actor? I love Leo, he's been in great movies and has had good to great performances, but as far as acting all the dudes I named have performances that I just don't think Leo could match.
