Daniel Day-Lewis

5 movies. 3 Oscars Nominations. 2 Oscars Wins (with Lincoln.)

Daniel Day is Goat Status. Dude takes tons of years off and comes back and crushes the building with Lincoln. As for Leo. yes he's one of the best of this generation. But I think people focus more on the Directors and Other Actors he worked with so they take away from Leo skill himself. Yes he has worked on great projects with Big time directors and actors but Leo holds his own and does his thing. I think Daniel Day went in this decade. Denzel also had a good decade. Tom and Tom fell off but they had a few bangers. Yes as far as really good movies. Leo's catalog in the 2000's has been sick. But I won't say he had the best run "Acting" wise. Quality movie wise, Yes it was a Hell of a Run in the 2000's.

After earth looks like waterworld status. I hope I'm wrong though.

:dahell: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Mystic River, two random movies from those two actors, are completely beyond the capabilities of Leonardo DiCaprio. I like Leo (pause) and am very entertained by a lot of his movies, but he is not of the same caliber of actor as the guys I mentioned. American History X is beyond him. Fight Club is beyond him. I have yet to see anything from Leo that I wouldn't expect from him. shyt, I didn't even bring up Clooney. Leo is not top 5, atleast not yet.

what you smoking on B? Clooney?

Also, Fear and Loathing, Fight Club, American History X wasn't in this decade. And what are we talking in here, best run in the 2000s or best actor of all time? some of yall not really on topic. Johnny Depp had a dope 90s but real talk, he been coasting for a while now.

Leo might not be top 5 actor (truthfully most mentioned in this thread aren't top 5) but he definitely had a top tier run in the 2000s. Everything he was in was some dope shyt. Bale has had a good run but at the same time he was in a whole lot of movies, some really dope ones and some not so much. The thing about Leo is that everything he was in was dope.

In my opinion Denzel had the best run in 2000s, but after him Leo definitely is up there.

As far as best actors, gotta give my dude Forest Whitaker his props. He dont get the respect he deserves. Dude is one of the greats, outshines everybody in everything.
