Why should he stop? Is he giving bad info or is he not allowed to reply to me?

He's allowed to say whatever he wants, but he is mind numbingly dull.

An example of say maybe good intentions Obama or liberals may have but doesn't really end up as planned because ultimately such way of doing things is ultimately inefficient is say social security or welfare where the governmetn is forcing you to save for retirement but the government itself has squandered the funds and will eventually run out in the next couple of decades as opposed to giving us the choice to invest our retirement how we choose...welfare keeps many from looking for work and justifies single parent homes...high taxes affect unemployment because those who are producing the goods of society are less willing to hire because they factor in the cost of such things like sales tax business taxes and so forth...

This is literally someone he made up. There is so much wrong with this block of text I don't even know where to start. If someone like yourself is truly interested in finding a political affiliation, I think you should actually step away from politics, find out what you really value, then see who values what you value, instead of letting politicians tell you what they like and how that's good for you. Know what im sayin?

The nature of politics and philosophy is very polarizing...to the point where hen someone has a different opinion they hate them for trivial reasons. You see I would never tell you not to listen to somebody I'm confident enough in the philosophies that I believe to hold their own weight against any other philisophy. People like Mook who basically wishe me dead and Broke wave would prefer to censor you from my point of view...I say evaluate all and you decide where you stand...

I think both sides have good intentions just different solutions.

A guy like me believes in equal opportunity...they want equal outcomes and that's impossible.

Just read Ron Paul's position on abortion...:mindblown:
Good lord, where do my peers get their information from? I'm seriously misinformed. My people speak like dude is our savior. How would he even begin to get rid of the Fed and what impact would that have? He also wants to get rid of minimum wage?!? His views and changes are too extreme and there is no way in hell they would let that happen. I now understand why people praise him, because his views are almost a complete overhaul and seem 'revolutionary' but it sounds bat shyt crazy to me. I retract my original post in this thread. I have so much to learn. I need the cliff notes for Life. :sadcam:

I'm still going to vote tho... I have a couple months to figure this out...:snoop: Thanks for all the info, Higher Learning.

Abortion is just a polarizing issue either...no point in debating that at all...highly unlikely roe v wade would ever be overturned so it's not worth the effort to fight it

As far as the fed...many scholars blame the fed on the recession and the banking crisis due to not adjusting their rates in 06 because of the negative yield curve which always predicted recessions and has never been wrong...the fed is also the one largely to blame for the great depression and you can google a Yale study which showed that Franklin Roosevelt extended the great depression with the new deal which is mainstream leftist Obama policy today.

So in Ron Paul's reasoning allowing the market to set interest rates and therefore determine the supply of money would prevent such things...although there are holes in the gold standard because there isnt enough gold in the world to represent the amount of money that exists so even Paul acknowledges it has to be a hybrid gold standard

But all this talk about Paul is moot because he won't be president but...many of his policies are beginning to become part of the republican platform and are becoming credible mainstream policies that sometime down the line may be implemented

One thing is for sure..Obamas policies of borrowing and creating more money out of thin air and increasing the deficit will ultimately create inflation destroy the dollar and bankrupt social security and Medicare and Medicaid decades from now...

So while we may scrape by if Obama is reelected the consequences will be felt down the line and it will be much worse than what European countries are going through which follow the stimulus Obama Paul Krugman Keynesian Economic models that have always been a disaster
