I still say it's Dumars. That team has been stuck in the lottery between 5-10 for years now. Not good enough to make the playoffs and not bad enough to get a top-3 pick (and we know what he does when he gets one of those).
Gave those heinous contracts to Gordon, Charlie V and Prince that basically crippled the team's flexibility.
People talking about drafting Monroe and Knight, but neither of those players is franchise guys. They're complementary guys on a good team, but they have to play the starring role for this team. That's how you start 0-7, well on their way to another 20-25 win season and another pick between 5-10.
He's been living off that '04 title they lucked into winning because he stole Sheed from Atlanta with that no-brainer trade.
I'll say in fairness to Grunfeld, Wall and Nene (shocking...) haven't even played yet this season, so the jury's still out a little on what they can accomplish. Their ceiling is definitely higher than Detroit's though.
Colangelo did steal Lowry for nothing, so that was a good move and a couple of their guys might be able to play. They could be headed in a positive direction. We know Detroit isn't (LOL @ someone saying they're gonna be decent in a couple seasons).
Some of the contracts he's given out have been ridiculous and Fields is the worst player in the league, but he probably gave him all that money so he'd keep his hot girlfriend around the team to boost morale
