Most iconic? It's clearly Cliff Huxtable. There's actually no debate.

Who do you LIKE the most? That's where opinions can come in.

He let his wife wear the pants in the family and she was the bread winner too. Payed for his daughter to go to Harvard law school only to see her marry a dim wit like him and open a wilderness store in Brooklyn of all places. Theo was dumb as shyt and had only one friend named Cockroach. Denise dropped out of college. They wouldn't let Vanessa wear make up and Rudy always brought her strange friends over to the house. And he's your clear cut choice.

Ya'll are just so disrespectful....better pay homage to the most underrated black dad on TV! I'm not even black but Roc to me was the most relatable. Ya'll arguing over Doctor and Lawyer dads when most of our dads and dad we know were holding it down with a blue collar job like him....and he ain't take no shyt! I can still hear him yellin' at his brother "Joooooeyy!"

I understand James was usually stressed out, but damn that nikka stayed wildin` out. Always yelling, throwing, & slamming stuff.:mjlol:

Julius IMO is a calmer more calculated prototype version of what James Evans was.

Uncle Phil hands down.

1. Successful judge
2. Kids were all successful
3. Raised his wife's nephew as his own and showed him a better life
4. Married a strong black woman (original Aunt Viv)
5. Constantly tried to keep Ashley from being a thot and was successful
6. Never forgot where he came from (Will and Carlton pulled over episode explains it all)

So much Black Excellence :ohlawd:

RIP Uncle Phil :mjcry:

Even though I picked Cliff, but Uncle Phil had to many great strong black power scenes

1. Very first episode when he got into it with Will about Phil being a sellout, he straight up told him the shirts and hats are cool but he heard the brother speak, he heard every word the brother said and read every word the brother wrote.

2. But the best one was when Viv and Phils friend came to visit, the one who was on the run from the FBI. She tried to check Phil for being a sellout and he tore into her about being there when city name went up in flames, when the dogs attacked and when the cops hosed them down. And then the cream of the crop, the FBI agent came to the crib and Phil put his own career and life on the line and told him she was here but left and had no idea where she went
