It drops in a couple of weeks, I wanna cop.

I'm wondering tho, will there be cheats available? I need a money cheat to play that game, its just a lot easier.

Sim City 4 didn't have a money cheat, which pissed me off. It had a money cheat actually, but u could only get 1,000 bucks at a time. I need a money cheat to pay big bucks, like that I can use it to start up the city and once its up and running I don't need it anymore.

Any of u buying it? And do any of u know if there will be money cheats?

I am sure some cheats will come out, but the game had such mixed beta reviews that I am going to hold off until after release.

The fact that its single threaded hurt many people...EA really limited the scope of the game overall to try to appeal to a casual crowd...for a simulation game

SimCity is not a casual franchise :snoop:

I'm confused, what does "single threaded" mean?
means that the game will only utilize one core, meaning that the higher the clock speed the better the results. The problem with that is that it severely limits the possibilities of the game. Cities XL has always had this problem.

It's stupid, but I am sure it has to do with the fact that they want casuals to pick it up and play on as many laptops as possible...then use the other cores for some massive background DRM through Origin. The problem with that idea is that SimCity is too much of a hardcore sim at heart to appeal to many casuals. This is not "The Sims" in where its an overly simplistic life simulator in which one of your most important tasks is taking a shower and sleeping.

I think the casual angle will appeal to me cause even tho I do love these simulation games, I'm not a hardcore gamer.

If its easier for me to use and get around, it will be good for me. I think I will hold out a little before I buy it tho. I wanna see the reviews and whether there are money cheats for it and such.

lol I was way off in my guess. I thought it meant the game was story based and linear and ended like Sims 3: Generations. I'm an idiot, but now I'm smarter. Thanks!

I'm a casual gamer in anything but simulation games. If ain't trying going to at least try to properly simulate most of what it's going for, why bother at all?

Capital: Sim City (SNES) Music - YouTube

I never knew they released it for SNES.

I had one of the 1st ones on PC back in the 90s.

The last one I played was the most recent one, SimCity 4 but the fact it didn't have a good money cheat pissed me off.

When I start a new city I use money cheats to get the whole city jumped off, then once I start getting decent revenue I stop using it.

Man, I used to love the whole "Sim" franchise. All my potnas used to think I was on some nerdy shyt or a weirdo for spending so much time playing those games and Sim City was my favorite. I haven't really gotten into or play any in the last few years, I remember I got one for PC about 5 years ago but it was so much extra stuff in it I was :minblown: but I just didn't have time to really get into it. I might give this one a try though.

So what is supposed to be better about this one or new features?
