Wood showed out today. He was cooking and should have been on most of the 4th.

Great to have D Lo back as well, his presence was definitely felt. Feels good to break that losing streak.

Did you not read what I wrote to you, or...?

The Pelicans would be getting TWO players-- Royce and whoever they'd happen to pull with the 2nd round pick.

The Pelicans will not be making much noise in the playoffs with how stacked the West is this year, and I'm sure they are aware of this. They are not in win now mode, and will likely be shopping Herb by the deadline.

So, an ideal move for them (that would also benefit us) would be getting a SF in O'neale that gives them a POA defender and a better shooter and a draft pick, while losing one guy.

You might be right that they don't want to make a deal with us specifically, considering we are in the same conference.

I simply listed guys that will be available by the 15th that the Lakers should look at. :yeshrug:

Theoretically, we could deal with Brooklyn alone, and get Royce and Dorian for D'Lo and Rui. What you think?

That’d be a nice deal for Brooklyn. Dlo and Rui are skilled offensive players and Brooklyn def needs more of those.

Nice deal for deal for Dlo and Rui. They’d immediately be stepping into an environment where their services are needed

And lol at Dlo getting traded to Brooklyn twice from the Lakers

But for us it doesn’t elevate the ceiling at all. Just makes them a more balanced team with good shooting. And Royce is overrated as hell as a defender.

Only deal right now that elevates the ceiling of this team right now is the Lavine trade unfortunately:francis:

If the Lakers get Lavine they have got to keep one Rui, Reaves, or Dlo.

But now that Dlo is back and looks interested in playing the Lakers should get back over .500.

fukk it Dlo, Gabe Vincent, Prince, and Vando for Lavine. There is not much of s market for Lavine honestly.

I like Lavine and I think he fits. Only issue I have is his asking price, because if it doesn’t work out, it’ll be another Westbrook situation where we can’t even move him.

I think we have a core that is competitive. Reaves, Bron, AD plus a consistent shooter in Prince. You add two other consistent shooters like Royce and Dorian, I think we got something.

Even if you find Royce’s defense to be overrated, he’s surely a better option than throwing Reddish out there hoping he gives you something.

But Rob has cooked before. Let’s see what it do next week

For context, Mays' Per 36 numbers and Per 100 Possessions numbers:

Decent player if given minutes, shoots the three ball at an average clip and hasn't been a bad defender off the bench vs second units.
