Ps verse is nothing short of iconic and Hav's was a fukking afterthought :dead:

:mindblown: Hav had some classic bars on Shook Ones. "For every rhyme I write it's 25 to life"
"Sometimes I wonder - Do I deserve to live or am I gonna burn in Hell for all the things I did?"
"I'm sippin, E&J, got my mind flippin, I'm buggin, digging my way out of holes by hustling"

I used to think that P killed him too but then I actually listened to what he was saying in his verse. I can't believe that yall are saying that Hav didn't kill it.

if your taking everything into account like mixtapes and not just retail albums then kiss to me imo got a better discography we are the streets and the champ is here is series imo.
:ohhh: that does make it closer, when you put it that way

imo both justifyably are HOFs but yeah P does have more notariety due to Mobb and his discography is better.

-Both flows are impeccable (still never really heard a rapper recreate either flows)
-Jada's voice was a bit more hard hitting sinc he had a deeper octave to his voice. shyt made his bars sound even more grungy and gangster -like :wow:

I think in P's book he said that the original beat was the I Love You Baby instrumental from Puff's album. I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure that that's what he said.

Even crazier side more is that it originally had a different beat but havoc didn't save it and someone stole the reel. He said Puff was furious, threatening all types of shyt but he remade it and puff was happy with it. He said the first beat was way better but I can't imagine anything being better than what they did.

That picture is crazy. Is that from a show?

from P's book:

A year before, Hav invited me to the studio where
he was producing a song for Biggie Smalls called “Last Day,” featuring the Lox. “Big wants you to
come by the studio,” Hav said. “He wants you to get on the song.”
“I don’t wanna do a song with Biggie, he’s corny,” I said. I wasn’t a fan of Biggie’s music at that
time. “Go ahead without me.” After a long studio session, Hav was so drunk that he left his beat disc
in the machine—leaving behind all six songs he crafted that day instead of one. Somebody ended up
using one of the beats for Black Rob’s “I Love You Baby,” on the Puff Daddy and the Family album. I
could tell as soon as I heard it because it had Hav’s signature drums, bass line, and all. “Hav, that’s
your beat!” I said when we heard the track. “That muthafukker stole your beat!”
After Biggie’s Life After Death album came out with that track “Last Day” that Hav produced, I
became a huge Biggie fan and regretted not doing the song. I was a hardheaded young fool back then.
