Didn't the Spider Sense fail Peter during Civil War, when Cap gave him the Mayweather hands, in like 10 seconds? I don't know where Spidey is now, in terms of power sets, but before, it definitely wasn't one-sided. Cap can do an extreme amount of bullshyt. Ultimate Cap is even crazier.

Theoretically, Spidey should win, but ehh? :patrice:

Kinda bothers me how, even in a world where martial arts are treated like a super power, Logan and Steve are hardly seen beasting on people in that manner, the way they should be.

Simply put...captain america is A Much...MUCH better fighter than spiderman and that gap is bigger than the strength gap. Captain america outclassed spiderman in civil war

The skill in hand to hand puts cap over...he isn't losing to spiderman...

Respectfully, that has more to do with the outcome of what the writer on said story wanted to move his/her plot along. Thing is, certain characters are set with templates on personality, strength limits, etc. A writer takes liberties with what he's given and sometimes colors outside the lines to attain their objective. No way is Cap going to defeat Spider-Man unless the script at hand calls for it.

Batman is a much more accomplished fighter than Superman but he's still not going to beat him without certain crutches like Kryptonite it or magic at his disposal.

The gap in stregnth between them is not INCREDIBLY significant. Batman and superman isn't a good comparison. Its closer than batman and bane.

Still, no way Cap beats Spider-Man because of the rules set long ago on their templates. It's writer/fanboys who create this confusion when creative license is utilized.

there really is no definitive answer to any of these questions. whoever wins depends on who's imagining the story.

all these writers, all these coli brehs... we're all just kids playin with action figures. there are no rules. WE make the rules.

fukkin JUBILEE could wash superman under the right circumstances if that person wants her too.

I cannot disagree with most of what you said but there are rules and limits.
Man, Marvel has a whole dictionary published rating all of the characters in their catalog.
But the rest of what you've said is pretty much what I've argued.

I could swear every time they've been placed on opposing sides Cap has be shown to give him that work....and I'm of the viewpoint that shouldn't be possible but hey Marvel would know best.

It isn't possible but it's their stuff so they can write it up anyway they want.
Maybe there is a certain level of integrity that must encompass the character, considering his name and all, that must be maintained.
Captain America getting his ass handed to him on the reg doesn't look all that appealing seeing what he represents.
