3/5/7 series?
Lol

Tournament Cups are usually just one game.
No series.

That's the fun.
That's the difficulty.
No team can have a bad day.

You're doing a series to determine the best if you're doing NBA champ vs someone else.

But if it's multiple teams/leagues, then yea it could be a one off.

What point? That US with their A team is ending games by the 3rd quarter? That Kendrick Nunn and NBA washout was the best player on the EuroLeague champions? That half these teams are nationalizing Americans just to form a complete squad?

What point exactly? :mjlol: Talk that shyt you was talking last year when we sent Austin Reeves, Josh Hart and Walker Kessler off 0 practices and still were only a couple possessions from winning the whole thing.

Keep that energy for these knockouts :mjlit:

These points :

No one's stopping y'all from sending your hypothetical "A-List" team USA bruh. Y'all would be beating your chests if you won but now it's all excuses.
Truth is 12 US NBA players couldn't beat 4 German NBA players. DPOY got outplayed by Daniel Theis :lolbron:

None of this is false. No one was stopping y'all from sending an "A-List" team last year. Now that you did y'all beating your chests. And last year 4 German NBA players DID beat 12 US NBA players. And Theis did outplay last year's DPOY.

I didn't expect them to win it all, because I actually follow some FIBA basketball and know that NBA players don't automatically play well in actual World Championships. Actually some do, as 4 German NBA players just showed they are better than 12 US ones :troll:

Nor is any of this. I didn't expect the US to win last year, and, again, the 4 NBA players that Germany had DID outplay the 12 NBA players the US had.

The U.S. isn’t going to send an A tier team every time because winning an NBA championship is far more prestigious than the 2nd most important world championship. NBA owners don’t want their guys getting hurt or missing recovery time for championship nobody respects. Here let me help you understand.

1. NBA CHAMPION

2. Olympic Gold

3. NCAA champion

4. G league champion

5. FIBA Champion

There you go, now you see why we sent a D squad to the shyt.

What you should do is have respect that we allow you the chance to win something in basketball because if the U.S. took the international shyt seriously it would get much much worse than it is now, and even now it’s pretty bad.

Nor is any of this. I didn't expect the US to win last year, and, again, the 4 NBA players that Germany had DID outplay the 12 NBA players the US had.
So what? A hastily cobbled together team lost to an experienced FIBA team who had played the Eurobasket together the year before by a couple points. :mjlol: Did any of those players get contracts to play in the NBA? Surely the NBA owners who invest half a Billy into their franchises looked at this game and thought to themselves “boy howdy I want Isaac Bonga on my team” you know since it’s an accurate representation of Germany’s basketball talent and not an experienced team eeking out a win against an inexperienced poorly constructed team that was together for a couple weeks?

Like if we added Bam and Drue Holiday to that roster we win easy. Fawk you mean. :hhh:

Like I give Canada a lot of shyt on here but it’s easy to see how much better they are after actually having a summer to play with each other.

None of all this proves that the two posts YOU quoted are false. Matter of fact, you say it yourself : you guys are the ones that decide to not send the A-team each time. That's literally what I say too, that no one is stopping you guys from sending the A-List (except yourselves).

And, again, Team USA had 12 NBA players on the roster last year, and got beaten by a team that had 4 NBA players. That's just factual. You can discuss ad nauseam why those 12 NBA players couldn't beat Team Germany who had 4 of them, but the fact remains : they didn't.

Yall nikkas really up in arms about this.

NBA\NFL\MLB = Domestic competition
World Cup\Olympics = International competition

Claiming you're a world champion for winning a domestic league is wild. Winning a gold medal in the Olympics or World Cup means you're a world champion.

Winning the NBA finals compared to a gold in Olympic basketball is without a doubt harder due to opt-outs, but Lyles never argued that.

And don't hit me with the Canada + USA = World BS :stopitslime:

Kendrick Nunn was the best player on the team that just won the Euroleague. If he signed with the Pistons today, who’ve been the worst team in the NBA for the last 3-4 years, can you even confidently say he would crack their rotation?

This is not the equivalent to Miss Texas declaring herself Miss Universe after winning Miss America. It’s the equivalent to the girl who finished 18th in the Miss Wyoming competition moving to Greece and winning Miss Greece, then the Greeks telling Miss USA she can’t call herself the best pageant winner until she beats her :skip:
This is the best post on the subject. It would be one thing if the best EuroLeague or China league players were foreigners, but when your best players are Americans and NBA wash outs yes the NBA championship is the defacto world championship. :mjlol:

They are so mad they can’t see us at basketball. You can feel it :ahh:
Americans and their sense of entitlement will always make me laugh

It’s not A domestic league. It’s THE domestic league. And i need you to put some respect on the thing these black American men are dominating in.

This whole conversation is disingenuous and condescending to NBA players. The best basketball players play in the NBA. If you want to call them world champs or not is irrelevant because there’s not a single foreign team that could beat the best NBA team. This Noah dude is just being a weirdo. I notice a lot of soccer fans are putting more batteries in his back. It has to be resentment because Americans don’t fukk with soccer like that.

I never disrespected it tho? :jbhmm:

Also, Noah Lyles, an ADOS breh, is getting more hate in this thread and I ever gave any NBA player lmao.
