I’m petrified for the future that this line of thinking makes sense to yall.

That was not the fukking question

It’s almost like the last few years of polarized society has people wired to be argumentative, evasive, allergic to basic comprehension.

I have 1 apple. Suzie has 2. How many do we have together?

Oh so you sayin you dont eat oranges?

:pacspit:

I HATE HATE HATE when people pull this shyt

Anybody pretending they didn't expect the US team to win this world cup is lying through their yellow teeth
Just take the L

nah not really :patrice:

everybody knows the international game has progressed leaps and bounds over time, but there's also the fact we didn't send our best dudes. There's cats in this squad who don't even start for their own teams, and anybody ignoring the fact that talent-wise this ain't exactly pinnacle USA Basketball is intentionally being dense and hating :manny:

I'm not gonna go digging through threads but I believe the general consensus among NBA fans is that this team was not a sure thing.

most you nikkas in this thread keep kee-ing and celebrating the Ls taken by essentially isn't even a junior varsity level squad relative to top tier American basketball talent are one of two things-goofy insecure foreign nikkas, or nikkas who aren't even fans of the NBA and much more likely follow the NFL or soccer and just wanna get they locks in :francis:

then there's all this coded language surrounding this narrative of "European fundamentals defeat top NBA talent" :mjpls:

and then there's the fact that other teams players been playing together since they were teens in.
We threw a bunch of great value, mediocre players together, had them practice for 3 weeks, and threw them in a competition, and expect them to have chemistry :unimpressed:

imagine if USA Track and Field sent everyone who finished 3rd, 4th, or 5th in the US Olympic qualifiers :mjlol:

that's why all this shyt Lyles talking is so disingenuous

Its only what weve been telling you for years. This L is about old heads being right. For all their strength, skill and athleticism that is so far beyond the old school, ultimately fundamentals, tough defense, heart are a big deal:wow:

Yall scoffed at foreign players saying how easy it was to score in the nba. As if that doesnt mean anything on a historical level. Why would I respect the "abundance" of talent in the nba. When most likely the talent looks abundant due to lack of defense, defensive rules? You will mock Jordan for playing against Jeff Hornaceck. But that Jeff Hornaceck really was crafty:mjpls:. Not so easy when you need to beat the Jeff Hornacecks/crafty international plumbers :mjlol:
