Never understood the fascination/stanning with Shawn Michaels on this site. Besides his in ring wrestling ability, dude came across suspect as hell in the 90s, he has b!tchmade tendencies, and he's done some prejudice things towards black people.
People grew up watching this jacked guy strutting and prancing around arenas, dropping from scaffoldings, climbing ladders, surviving ironman matches, and superkicking his way past bigger stronger guys. Admittedly dude was pure energy, style, and charisma during that early-to-mid nineties family period.
I mean, I'm 6'7" and I used to love watching dude. I didn't gain an appreciation for Hart, Rude, etc until later.
When you're a child, none of the race stuff comes into play, so it's difficult for people to release those memories once they get up on game. This is why I'm glad I was never a Hogan fan (always disliked dude and thought he was corny).
Separating art from artist is incredibly difficult, especially if you're black and get into pop culture at all.
No easy answer here.
Hulk probably looked out for Rodman the same way and kamala said hulk stood up for him when it came to pay...
I think racial bias is not black and white people can harbor racist thoughts on occasions and still have close bonds with people who they are bias against ...it's a weird dynamic but my guess is that humans emotions are never static and are in constant flux...like one night your happy about being with a woman but in the morning you might regret it or feel differently
During a moment of anger someone can succumb to weakness and bury people just cuz they are different but with time to digest what people are you look out for them and care for others like family
On point. Race (based on skin color) is illogical and completely made-up to separate people. Once you actually get around someone and connect it changes the game. But this idea of separation is so embedded in us, that we would rather say, "oh, he's one of the good ones" than just admit that the nonsense we've been taught is illogical bullshyt.
