its crazy that this is even a debate. You can't teach tall and it is damn sure harder to find a 6 11 forward center who can dominate games. you want a guard who can score? thats easy to find. There are guards that can put up 20+ points a night that people don't even want starting. How many Centers that can put up 20 and 10 are riding the bench?

A 32 year old MVP is an old fart now? :wtf: nikkas really gotta stop disrespecting Kareem.

Shaq and Kobe didn't work out because they both acted like females and put their own personal issues over winning.

Kareem was 33 in 1980. 35 in 1982. 38 in 1985. 40 in 1987. 41 in 1988.

If that's not old then :dead:

I'm gonna have to roll with Timmy, it's much easier to build around a big of Timmy's caliber than it is to build around an elite guard, Jordan is only exception to this rule imo.

He was old but he was still a VERY good...

How you gonna call a guy an old fart when he was league MVP and would have been finals MVP if not for an injury and the Magic having the greatest single game performance in finals history.

That's why I said earlier I don't have to see how good Kareem was in his prime because I saw him late in his career and he was beasting at times back then.

and he was still the #1 scoring option

he won finals MVP in 1985 :what:

Magic prolonged his career, but Kareem took a lot of pressure of dude his first few years as well.

Of course he eventually got old. My issue was you saying that Kareem was old when Magic got there and that is not the case as the voters who made him MVP that year will attest. He still played at a high level as he aged.

I'm convinced yall nikkas just love to argue. I'm convinced :what:

I never said Kareem wasn't good. I just said he was old. And he declined & declined & declined as years went on while Shaq had a young Kobe who was entering his prime. No other legend had "help" like that. There's nothing incorrect about what i said :what:

And keep in mind that was still when the players were voting on who got the award.

I'm convinced you are trying to spin shyt now. You tried to use his age as proof that he was no longer a top player and that wasn't the case. Dont' try to change it now.

Yup...Otherwise there hadn't been no reason to even bring up Kareem.

Kareem was still making all NBA first team 5 years after his MVP season and he also picked up another finals MVP.
