So kobe is winning rings with:

An old ass aging david robinson with a tmac back?
A rookie tony parker who was replaced in the finals by speedy claxton.
A raw manu ginoboli who plays the same position as kobe?
Malik Rose?
Rashhhhhhhhhhhhhhho Nestervich?
etc..etc..

you :troll: in

Absolutely. Sorry Kobe never had the luxury of being 2nd and 3rd option for like 3 years in a row now. Duncan would retire if he had to play with Smush Parker and Kwame. Kobe and Tony P is not even fair. Add Manu to the squad and that's a ship. But I forgot the Coli hates Kobe. Kobe is already regarded as a better player than Duncan is and that makes y'all furious.

More rings
Accomplished more as an individual
More defensive selections

Kobe :stylin: on you haters.

Wrong...Duncan benefited from going to the Spurs & learning from an NBA great David Robinson. He was just as raw as Kobe was at first. He also benefited from college & a great coach in Popivich. You place Duncan on any other team (other than the Lakers) & he's Patrick Ewing all over again.

With that said...if we are talking right now in this current league... I'd take Kobe all day b/c of how the game is now played.

do the world a favor and never watch bball again

Everywhere
With Kobe I'm guaranteed a repeat championship which is always a feat I've respected more than winning over a span. But it's hard to deny what Duncan brings. I'd still take Kobe over any prime player I've seen besides Shaq or Dream.

Kobe, though I'm not mad at all the people choosing Duncan.

I'll go back to the old analogy The Jet used to make about the Spurs. On a 1-10 scale, he always said the Spurs played at an 8 (like Duncan) and never wavered. Whereas, Kobe's peak was more dominant and explosive.

If Kobe had respectable players around him between '05-'07, I think the Lakers probably would have won both of those titles.

In general the impact of a dominant big >>>>>>> impact of a dominant perimeter player.

Kobe wasn't locking down the paint and anchoring one of the best defensive teams in basketball to win titles. Kobe is great scorer but duncan changed the game on both ends of the court far more frequently than what kobe was capable of doing.

I think Kobe's offensive dominance was greater than Duncan's defensive dominance. :manny:

How do you get more dominant than going point for point and rebound for rebound toe to toe with Shaq in the playoffs?

We've never seen a guy score like that and win a title. Before Mike the popular sentiment was that a scoring champion couldn't win a title and outside of the 6 times mike did it you only got two other occasions (Jabbar and Shaq). Point is you put a championship squad around Kobe he wouldn't have been as explosive because he would have been playing more of a team game like he did the when he won titles.
