A real full grown wolf is about 3-4x the size of a large pitbull, and can get up to 40 lbs heavier and 2 feet longer than the biggest hyenas.

wolves and mountain lions exist in same eco system and 9 out of 10 times wolves already kill mountain lions.

im positive most posters here are confusing wolves for coyotes or smaller wolf species.

true big grey wolves are massive. Near same size of mountain lions (although mountain lions can get bigger depending on where located but world wide average wolves are about the same).
Wolves are considered incredibly smart though compared to all 3 which is why they routinely already kill mountain lions.

Im in actual disbelief of the poll results.

Only chance wolves have against mountain lions is if theyre in a pack. One on one, the wolf is food.

You idiots majority-voted mountain lion when hyenas are regularly death-matching with real fukking African lions.

Hyenas will beat anything on this list one-on-one. Group-wise, it'd be interesting to see the strategies employed by wolves and hyenas. Pits are dumb, while mountain lions are more solitary creatures.

In close quarters I don't see any reason to not take the biggest and strongest animal which is the mountain lion :yeshrug:
These cats in here talking bout "but...but...bite pressure!" Like the mountain lions gonna sit there and get bitten :mjlol: shyt, common housecats are lightning quick vicious, let alone an almost 200 lb frame of explosive lean mass killing machine. As mentioned several times over, Wolves and Hyenas cannot efficiently function without a pack, and arent built for one on one confrontations with anything that can hold its own. In the wild, more often than not theyll run from a fight without the pack. Only time theyre killing big cats is with a pack and they stalk it down, wear it out and eventually overwhelm. They arent doing this shyt one on one, in a cage. That mountain lion is making short work of everything in there because they try to kill as quickly as possible. Biting spines left and right.

It’s the over way around.
Y’all have to remember that cats have way more paw dexterity than the rest of those animals, that allows them to slap, swipe, and even wrestle their opponent. You add that with their incredible muscle, and superior agility. I think the mountain lion is taking this one, unless the other three just gang up on it immediately.

It would still be the weakest animal there. It is also a domesticated pet against 3 wild predators. Stop.

:francis: I've said this once or twice before if we are talking logically the wolf, hyena and mountain lion aren't bred to fight, do they have the better mechanics sure but given the opportunity because of evolution they fight to mate, eat or if cornered to defend themselves (but will run to live another day) , they do not fight for "fun" like pitbulls do.

:yeshrug: so I'm sticking it with it you lock a 40 lb pitbull in a cage with a 40 lb either one of those for a hour, it wins

Youre right, because they survive IN THE WILD, competing against other animals far more vicious than pit bulls on the reg.
Pit bulls, even bred to fight, are still domesticated, and were "bred to fight" other domesticated dogs. Have no clue at all how nature works brehs :mjlol:
Even at the same size, the sheer muscle density alone has all of those animals tearing that pit apart at will.

.

A pitbull was bred to fight other attack dogs in domestic environments, but not wild animals that are more ferocious. Wild animals have that gut instinct to kill.I have seen breeders breed pits that are the size of mastiff, which is not a healthy size.

You literally posted an article about African lions, which are obviously bigger and more powerful than a cougar. You haven't proven shyt. I acknowledged the difference between the lions in my previous post. Hyena can beat a cougar.
Nah breh, YOU started off with the point that Hyenas are "regularly death matching with lions". Yeah, as a pack, but they get fukked up one on one, just like they would against a Cougar, which is ALSO bigger than a Hyena. What part of "Hyenas and Wolves are pack animals while Cougars are solitary predators" do yall not get?! :dwillhuh:
Typical coli to try and argue against even common sense shyt.

An animal that contends with lions and leopards in the African savannah is not losing to a freaking dog, that's for sure.

I don't think people have an appreciation for what hyenas are. Trust me, it's the last animal you'd want to come face to face with on this list.
