Considering Biden historically delegates his staff to do everything, he'll easily do 4 years.

He will sign the EOs, whatever legislation, do his whole calm the nation bit, etc, etc. He can do that until he's 82.

I asked if he'll be able to continue his role at that point. Meaning looking like he can do it from 82-86. That's really fukking old, and signs of deterioration are already there even before the inevitable presidency stress. Plenty of people break down before they turn 82. I don't think it's guaranteed that he'll be physically or mentally capable in 2024/25.

I don't think he runs for a 2nd term either. But if he does, he'd retire in his 1st year of the 2nd term IMO.

For some reason, I feel like an 81 year old Biden running for re-election is more likely to win than a 59 year old Kamala Harris.

Nobody wants a fukking 82 year old president. I'd rather have a 28 year old one.

Depends on whether the slowdown is obvious at that point or not. But it's definitely a decision they're going to have to make very early in the process or it'll get messy quick.

1. A celebrity Bernie/justice Democrat candidate - Michael Moore

Next will depend on who is expected to be candidate. If Biden doesn't complete term and it's an incumbent Harris I don't think you'll have a challenger.

If Biden just signals he won't run for a 2nd term and it's an open primary I think you'll see:

1. One of the castro's
2. Gavin Newsom
3. Gretchen
4. Cuomo

We have this thread for the rethugs, need one for Dems.

Kamala ain’t cake walking to to nomination, progressives already have a list of Biden policy failures prior to him even being sworn in, and somewhere Pete Buttigieg is raising more money in wine caves. So who’s on the list?
Given recent threads posted about her...as I said, who we tappin in for 2024. Strangely enough it’s only 2 years until the primary campaigning season :francis:

It's not "some reason". It's she's terrible as a presidential candidate and there's no way to fix it in the foreseeable future.
