Thanos won. Killing him won't change anything. I don't think he's dying at all in Endgame. I don't even think he's gonna be the main threat anymore.
He's not holding half the galaxy hostage. HE KILLED THEM.
So killing him ain't gonna make things right.
But yeah Thanos may die but it won't be at the hands of an avenger.

Totally agree, I think Thanos will be a recurring character going forward.

Thanos dies of natural causes as a result of the snap. Not from a fight with the avengers.
They spend the end game just trying to reverse the the snap.

He still killed half the universe, you can't just let him skate.
Even if killing him won't fix the situation, the Avengers still need to live up to their name and avenge the people he killed.

Thanos is going to be banished to the negative zone with the help of a scientist Tony calls out to in one of his final scenes in space before you assume he’s dead
End credits show that same unnamed scientist attempt to rescue Tony by going into space using a ship built with Kree tech. Before making it too far up the scientist and his 3 companions are bombarded with cosmic radiation
A second end credit shows that same negative zone portal opening back up and the hand of what looks like some sort of serpent like creature almost makes it through before it closes again
Final title card simply has the Avengers “A” but we realize that this entire time it’s really been a 4

I dont think Thanos will die, just be defeated for the moment.
Its going to be some sort of combo attack using the first three characters. If Iron Man doesnt score the direct hit he will do something scheme wise that is going to incapacitate Thanos enough for some sort of Captain America and Thor combo. Thor or his weapon, has to be involved somehow because Cap isnt strong enough on his own to hurt Thanos.
