I have a Fitbit Surge and a Garmin Vivoactive. I also log my walks on Nike plus though it calls them runs. I use the 7th gen Nano for the Nike plus since it doesn't need the shoe transmitter and Nike quit making the shoes take it. I'm stone616 on all my fitness device profiles. Looking for people to add on any of the three.

On days I don't work my fitness tracker gives me a goal to shoot for. I usually take between 10,000 - 15,000 steps in a work day and on off days that number was plummeting. Now I don't get off the treadmill / elliptical until I reach those 10,000 steps.

I just got a FITBIT Charge HR.
shyt is legit.
Gives me a really good idea on how much I should eat each day because of the tracking of calories burned.

and im really surprised how good it tracks my sleep.

I don't trust the calories my Fitbit puts out as much because they're crazy high. My Garmin is more reasonable.

Between the two I've had days where I walked 15,000 steps and calories the Garmin says i burned are are almost 1000 below the Fitbit.

I use it more as a way to gauge my day to day activity.
So it seems accurate enough.
The other day I didnt do shyt...so it said I burned 2K calories...and yesterday I lifted and rode my bike..3,300 calories.

If you wear the tracker to bed and lay still for a while it determines you went to sleep and from there enters a mode where it tracks your movements while you sleep. It uses that to determine if you were in a deep sleep, light sleep, or awake.

Back in the day they didn't do this on their own you had to put them in sleep mode. These days they go into sleep mode on their own.

Should I get the surge or an apple I watch :patrice:
The Surge is a poor smart watch. The Apple Watch is a poor fitness tracker. I considered an Apple Watch but having to charge the device daily and having it barely make it through a day put me off to it.

I am interested in getting a fitbit. How does it work? How has it changed your life?

Does it get annoying on your wrist? :lupe:

I wear a metal watch. I don't like rubber or whatever that material is.
So it counts your steps? Is the price worth it?

Speak on it brehs and brehettes.
