As someone who fukked with Well done HEAVY....
I didn't cook the steak long enough by mistake when I started broiling for the first time a couple years ago. I realized it was still pink on the inside but was feeling lazy as hell so I just said fukk it and ate it. shyt blew my mind. More juicy than a well done steak ever was, TENDER AS fukk, and a meaty flavor so strong I didn't even need A1 or ketchup or hot sauce.
Plus, one thing black folk don't pay attention to is grilling and carcinogens. Those have been linked to cancer which is why grilling is an occasional thing for me and not a frequent thing. The medium steak has considerable less carcinogens than a well done steak. We all know cancer is random and genetic as hell, but never hurts to lessen your chances.
