I can't trust that Freeman is off limits.
Am I alone in this thinking brehs?
I think he is. With the money he got and the position he plays, they won't move him. I think the trio of Teheran/Simmons/Freeman is definitely off limits.
Closers are volatile man, look at two guys on our staff now, Jim Johnson and Jason Grilli, both guys had runs as closers that were less than 5 yrs combined, but now they're setup men who''ll have to be situational closers. Kimbrel was being projected as the next Rivera, which was high praise. Say he reaches that level, great for us, but come 2018 when it's time to pay him, he'll want more money than the Braves are willing to pay and most importantly we won't be the Yankees of the 90s-mid 2000s. I would only be on board for paying a closer HUGE money if we were competing for World Series every season. We're not and Hart was definitely selling high with the trade. I still have to research the prospects we got in the deal.
