Kraven. He’s a villain we haven’t seen on screen, he’s compelling, and story wise he already fits in. If you’re starting the movie with Spider-Man as a wanted criminal and someone believed to be responsible for a drone attack on an entire city, that means it’s open season on his head. And someone has to collect. That opens the door for kraven to be that guy. He’s seen this “spider” on tv and believes he can take him down.

And if you want to give a shout-out to the comics, you can have JJ be the one to hire him just like JJ created scorpion in order to kill Spider-Man.

Kingpin would be ok but story wise I don’t see how he fits. Same with the big man, who is actually the person I want to see. Spider-Man hasn’t affected their “business” yet since we haven’t seen him do a thing about organized crime in New York yet. So there’s no reason for them to go after him. Kraven lives for the hunt tho and truly believes in the hunt at all costs. So even when he finds out the truth, it won’t matter. He’ll still go after peter

Kraven.

Finally.

Excommunicado on the Spidey kid. :banderas:

Green Goblin should kick off the college saga. Petey would be older and the stakes would be higher. Would be timed well too since we still don't know who ended up purchasing the old Avengers building.

It’s crazy that they made 3 Iron man, 3 Thor and 3 Captain America movies.

But we legit might get 4-5+ Spidey movies.

Rumor is that the plan is for 9 Spidey movies total.

3 with high school age Peter, 3 where he's college age, and 3 with him as an adult.

Not sure if it's true or not but Holland is young enough that he could play Spidey for 15+ years if he wants.

Kingpin.

Reason #1. Kingpin has been tied to Spiderman for over 40 years in the comics, yet they've never crossed paths in the MCU. For some reason, Kingpin has only been a villain to the "street level" Marvel heroes (like Daredevil) on film and tv.

Reason #2. Bringing Spiderman home to NYC would be a great way to introduce Kingpin, but also the "street level" heroes (Netflix used that name) like Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Punisher to the MCU.

I would like to see a Kraven/Kingpin combo, but I don't know how much Netflix continuity will be maintained...

It should be Kraven however. I just don't think Kraven is s big enough threat by himself.

Definitely need to tease Oscorp too.

Kraven is enough by himself. If vulture and Mysterio are enough he can be. He’s an intimidating presence. Especially for a 17 year old. As we’ve seen, it’s all about execution.

A lot of you guys are saying kingpin but my question is always “why?” Not why kingpin l, but why does kingpin want beef with Spider-Man in this universe? What has Spider-Man done to shake his tree?

A "Friendly neighborhood Spiderman" seems to be a recurring theme in the movies. If Kingpin is a mob boss, they would inevitably cross paths.

Kraven is good onto his own in the comics, but...and it's been awhile since I've read anything in the comics, but I don't think his menace "alone" translates well to the movie screen.

And for that matter, neither does Kingpin...but both...

I simply thought a team up or a partnership would be epic for a Spiderman movie.

So if they do Kingpin, should they use the same guy that plays him on Netlflix Daredevil? I don't know. :patrice:

He's a good actor but I don't know if he'd fit in the MCU, much less be a physical threat to Spidey like he is in the comics. But at the same time, if they did a completely different Kingpin that would pretty much make the Netflix series non-canon, which I don't really want either. Tough call.
He plays a really good kingpin. I feel like he might be too intense for a Spiderman movie. All spiderman movies are light hearted.

I really want to see kraven but they might mess it up trying to fit the whole story in a 2 hour movie. I have no idea who would play a good kraven either.
