nor does it have nearly the same "amenities" as NYC :rudy:

Amenities? I don't even know what he means, but we all know no place has that energy like NYC, there are intangibles you can't duplicate no matter how great of a city you build. NYC is not just a place it's like another dimension

I love New York. But Philly, DC, Chicago & Boston offer alot of the same amenities for cheaper.

I can't say about Philly but, DC, Chicago, and Boston ain't any cheaper.

Chicago is DEFINATLY cheaper, you can buy a condo near downtown for under 300k. New Yawk? You can't even get a co op for that, same condo in manhattan hittin your for $600k -$700.

Comperable city in price would be SF. These are places where u ain't even in the game if you dot have 1/2 a MIL. CHI is not in that convo

DC ain't NO cheaper.

Yes it is. I live in DC breh breh. You want that New York apartment you see in the movies....you talking atleast $4,000-$6,000 a month atleast :comeon: Even Brooklyn is expensive now. Go on craigslist. A 2BD in Williamsburg, Park Slope or Bed Stuy is running from $1,700-$2,100 a month. In fukking Brooklyn :upsetfavre: You're still an 1hr subway ride away (incl. walk to station) from Midtown :comeon:

If you paid that much for a spot in Washington, you'd be living in some swanky townhouse in Georgetown. Balling :steviej:

Amenities. Things a city offers. Entertainment. Nightlife. Food. Shopping. Mass transportation, etc. Do you really need 6,000 bars and restaurants? 600 is just as good and 9 times out of 10, you'll choose 10 you like and never go to the rest.

Do your research. Compared to the rest of the country, yea....they're expensive. Compared to NYC, you're getting a bargain in DC, Chicago & Boston. For example, you can't buy a condo in Manhattan for less than $500,000.00 :troll: and that's for a studio :troll: In any of those other cities I named, you're getting a dope spot. I'm not talking out my ass, I've researched all of this shyt for what city I'd like to plant my roots in after school. I love New York as much as the next but, its ridiculous how much it costs to live there.

NY is definitely a great city to experience, lived there for 6 months..but once you get into the routine of subways/busses and dealing with the Daily bullshiit..It gets old pretty quick. and the 2nd hand smoke was going to kill me early..seems like everyone was smoking cigs in the city.

I'm only quotin you on the smokin part bc it's crazy u said that....as a native NYer, i find it more and more difficult to find someone randomly smokin outside in case i need a light or to bum a bogie lol...maybe it's just my smoker mentality....but it feel like bloomberg getting more on his nanny shyt....that being said, NY is the shyt....DC and philly are cool but don't come close...u mean your liquor stores close at 9 & the clubs close at 2?....fughgetaboutit!

can't leave that condo fee out breh, thats way about average in manhattan.

NYC is the shyt. :lolbron:

I can deal with the costs. The only thing sucks is that I literally can't breathe in that bytch. Hot towel and nasal strips on the nose every night.

Never argued about price. But living in ny eating noodles is preferable to caking in wilmington. Plenty to do without cash, shyt most of the city is broke. As u said, we all got our opinions.

Just like I can't deny that by is pricey, u can't deny that it's far more entertaining/stimulating, what have you, than dc, Philly, Boston, etc. you're talking about a city that has nearly everything in it breh.
