I bought them when I was building my home theater system. My equipment ran me nearly 15 grand so WTF do I look like buying frail 99 cent monoprice cables when im dealing with high end electronics?

If you have one of those cheap theatre in a box joints, then enjoy your cheap cables fam. When you're ready to upgrade your hardware then holler at me.

When it comes to hdmi cables, GPS is very important. Monster gets all their wires ISF certified and places the specs all on thier box. The reason that people can't see the difference in their picture is the fact that the tv is probably not really good enough to harvest all the capabilities the wire carries from the source.

Chances are if a salesperson put the monster HDMI cable and the no name brand in front of you and told you that you can have either one for the same price, you would probably take the Monster one.

The best question to ask yourself is "how important is picture quality to you"? chances are if you feel it is very important, then you probably are the customer that will shell out the extra few hundred to get the higher performing tv models. If you are that customer, then you will see the value in getting a monster HDMI cable.

I got a gang of hdmi cables from Meritline a few years ago for 3 for 5 or 3 for 6...still on my initial set

The people that are buying them are the employees or their friends. They use their employee discount, the wires comes out to like 5-10 bucks each......THEN you return it without a receipt and get store credit. The store credit they give you on a best buy gift card. We used to do this all the time back when I was in college. Copped mad shyt from best buy. So basically a cable wire cost 5-10 bucks you get 80 something. 20 gets you 160. You can only buy a limit of 3 or 4 I forgot.

The two aren't analogous. Beats has better sound compared to cheaper headphones(from what I'm told, I don't own one). Then there's the status symbol that you must account for - it's a brand name.

HDMI cables on the other hand - its already been proven here and elsewhere that cheaper(or I should say, accurately priced) HDMI cables give you equal performance versus the expensive ones. And second, there is no status symbol associated with owning expensive HDMI cables. No broad is checking your cables for brand names - no one gives a sh1t. It's a dumb purchase.

I remember reading about that. The psychology of human beings is just . When it comes to sales it really doesnt come down to the quality of the product but how great you can sell something mainly because ppl cant truly know the quality of something for themselves until they buy it and they cant use it unless they buy it and once they buy it, its a wrap.
