Ja if he can stay healthy, but I don’t think neither of them can be your #1 option on a championship team. Which is why both teams need JJJ and Bagley to become the players that they need them to be.
name a team who has won with a PG being the #1 option

Warriors
Pistons
I dont really count Magic as one

thats literally it probably. and even then...Curry wasnt used as a PG like that

i think Ja has the higher ceiling and Fox has the higher floor.

two of the most exciting young players in the league tho

i think Rip was the leading scorer. like 19.9 ppg a game if i remember correctly.
but every starter was in double digits except Wallace...much like the 89 pistons.

It’s why I have always thought that the Blazers should have traded CJ and see what they could have gotten for him. Dame and CJ duo just can’t win a championship together.

Ja(with JJJ) can potentially lead the Grizzlies to a Homecourt Advantage seeding... Fox might be able to get the Kings to an 8 seed :francis:

I thought Fox would make a leap this year, as he’s shares similar qualities to John Wall. But his own injuries as long as getting Joerger and Bagley being mad injury prone.. has derailed the process.
After he came back from injury, Fox was putting up numbers and helping the Kings win games.

I would say Billups was their best player though:yeshrug: either him or Ben
arguable...team was like voltron
regardless, hamilton was the leading scorer every year
my only point is that what homie said about Fox/Morant not being #1 options/best players on a championship team isnt an indictment to them.
i think i proved that much

neither player will win unless they leave their franchises. its that simple.
neither franchise will attract a star
none has management capable of pulling a trade for a star
and neither team is bad enough to tank and get a player that is that great in the draft
nor do i believe any team has the know how to develop talent internally like Toronto or San Antonio do

Memphis' ceiling as constructed is a 3-4 seed and WCF exit. Once the Clippers/Warriors/Lakers fall off, NOP will have their number
Sactown's ceiling as constructed is a 7 seed and first round exit until they decide to unleash [a healthy] Marvin Bagley . They also need to trade Hield who I am a fan of but simply wont fit in a backcourt with Fox.
