Scarface might be still be in his prime because he's been able to still sound fresh with his music.

*listens to 'Scarface' off Gucci's Im Up*

*listens to New God Flow*

whatever you say buddy  , Face sounds bored as hell the past few years. if you think that Emertius crap was on par with his old stuff, i dont know what to say thats outrageous

Scarface on Hip Hop w/ Nas >>>>>>>>>> Ghost on New God Flow

Emeritus is a good album, in fact I would even say it's a great album. Face was doing his thing on that album and the guest features along with the production was really great.

id disagree with that, but he was solid. but Face is far removed from his prime imo, nothing since The Fix has been memorable

never been much of a fan, but i do respect Scarface for sticking to his style and not compromising much. im not up on enough of his cat to give an honest comparison

that's what i'm trying to figure out too

Only someone who has never heard Ghostface's long history of violent urban/street rhymes and crack/gun tales would say some dumb shyt like that. More cacs liking him than Scarface don't make him "cac friendly" whatever the fukk that is. nikka's type dumb shyt before thinking.

Can one of ya'll smart dumb nikkas explain to me how Ghost is more "cac friendly"?

It has nothing to do with his actual music. For whatever reason Wu-tang became extremely popular with white people and hipsters. I guess he is just saying that more people are likely to vote for Ghost then they are for Facemob because everyone on the Coli is secretly white :dwillhuh:

Nah, Ghost verse on NGF was on par with, or better than, Scarface's Hip Hop verse. That was an everyday, run of the mill Ghost verse and it had the internet going crazy. Scarface's verse got completely outshined by Nas' verse and he even knows it, judging by his reaction when Khaled first played the Nas verse for him.

If that was an ordinary verse by Ghost, then that proves my point exactly. He's fallen off. An artist is suppose to evolve not regress or remain stagnant. Ghost's creativity has waned.

And Nas? How did he enter the the conversation? We're talking about Ghostface and Scarface, this has nothing to do with Nas. The only reason I said his name was because I was referring to the song him and Scarface have together. But this poll or thread rather has nothing to do with Nas. We're talking about Scarface and Ghostface.

yea that "ghost is more cac friendly" is just dumb nikkas tryna dismiss the god because hipsters like him, as if most top rappers don't get a lot of hipster love (look at the jiggaman and how extreme them cacs get with calling him a genius)

The NGF Ghost verse is what you expect from Ghost. It was dope. It was a run of the mill Ghost verse. He does that all the time. Fallen off my ass. You speak of creativity? The nikka was feeding his pet lion 40 chickens in that verse! Ghost still a vibrant creative lyricist.

And I bring up Nas to point out how Scarface's verse paled in comparison to his. It wasn't wack, but it was forgettable. If we're gonna have a debate on lyricism there's no problem with referencing verses opposed to other artists' verses on the same track. Stop it.
