Why are they doing Fat Joe? I can learn about fat joe from any youtube interview. If they dont find Tracie spencer and put her on Unsung.

for what? to talk about her one hit and then that album that was released in 2000 that no one cared about?...
unsung needs to regroup and get back to the point - celebrating people who truly had accomplishments but fly under the radar - people like patrice rushen, groups like hi-five, etc. folks who had long enough success but also never reached that pop zenith and/or canonization

nostalgia man. I loved Tracie spencer. and she had more than one hit. lol. HOnestly it seems like they're trying to reach the younger audience by putting more up to date artists on here. but I can find their story anywhere. I liked unsung because it gave artists who were underrated a platform to tell their entire story. that you cant find on a youtube or media outlet .
i hate to say it, but i think the ratings they got from the bone thugs-n-harmony episode may have ruined the show.
that was the episode that brought over a sh*t ton of people that didnt watch Unsung.
they flew off the handle right after that.

i don't think the show is necessarily about learning something new as much as profiling people who are quietly very accomplished - he fits that. but between him being rican and the weird timing (had a hot year), that's why i'm opposed. i mean most these profiles all end the same way anyway - broke, drugs, untimely death, if it's a group, they broke up and none of them had the success apart that they had together.
