Angle and Macho Man to me.

Both could obviously kill it as heels and faces. Not just as heels of faces but different types of faces. Macho went from Megapowers strong Hogan like babyface, to feuding with Jake being the sympathetic weaker babyface to feuding with Flair in WCW of being the crazed revenge seaking babyface that was in the middle. He also was able to play the strong aggressive heel to being a cowardly heel. Angle showed he could be the goofy or bad ass heel or face. Both could wrestle any kind of match. Slowed down power matches, fast paced high workrate matches, high flying matches, or even mat based wrestling matches.

I don't know of anyone else that was able to make it work with a variety of personas as well as being able to work the wide range of match types (heel or face) as those two while also being able to kill it on the mic.

Amazed at how many people think Jericho was 'complete'

Look is part of being the total package and Jericho's look has never been up to par for a top guy.

I don't think his in-ring was top notch either. He lacked the athleticism to look like he belonged on a level with guys like Angle, The Rock etc

Kurt Angle & Chris Jericho.

Those are guys I could watch cut a promo, wrestle a 5 star match, be great heels, or faces.

Jericho especially can get over in ECW, WCW, WWF/E, Canada, Mexico, Japan, America, or Europe.

The guy literally could do anyting he wants.

Macho Man is the answer. He was capable of putting together a memorable promo, had the look of a star that translated to mainstream media, was oozing charisma and could go out and give a 4-5 star match at every opportunity. There are plenty of guys who could do SOME of that, but not all of it. The only other guy who comes close is 1996-1998 Stone Cold.
