People already said Kurt, so...

Bryan Danielson/Daniel Bryan :yeshrug:
Dude can anchor a match against someone bigger than him(Orton, Batista, 95% of his career), someone his size/smaller(Gulak, Cole, etc.) can promo as a heel and a face, and can change his working style depending on which of the two he was at the time. Got people behind him like no one else in this era, and still managed to come back from retirement to become a legit heel. How many people can't even come back from a 3 month injury without being a face? Bryan was retired for years, and within the year, was calling folks fickle and getting booed :wow: Also... just a genuinely good dude. Him going out of his way to get Kofi over and get him that win that meant a lot to a lot of us when it happened... Yeah... I'mma go with Bryan.

Austin pre-neck injury is the right answer.

Also Jericho, Flair and Savage.

I stopped watching wrestling in 2001ish so I missed most of Angle’s career. Debut was strong though.
