Who it COULD HAVE been: Lashley via getting drafted to SD. Him w/MVP has been amazing.
Other challengers: Kofi, Hardy, Balor.
Demon King Balor wouldn't have bothered me at all due to how that match was going, undefeated gimmick, never actually lost the belt gimmick. It would've all made sense.

I obviously didn’t mention Balor because he looks believable.
Zayn does not and I love watching him. Hard to even compare him to Bryan when Bryan clearly has more mass muscle than him.
Kofi as much as I like him does not look believable neither even though he’s a former champ.

Like I said earlier, I don't think Bron will be ready by then but imagine he beat Reigns for the belt at SummerSlam 2022, twenty years after Brock beat The Rock, essentially making Bron Steiner the next big thing and the new face of the company.
