I had to delete everything Knicks related on my phone. I don't want any notifications about this team for the next week. It will be brutal with the Luka talk. All my searches on YouTube and channels got unsubscribed.

yeah I just got on IG cause I got a notification, looked at the notification, then my dumb a$$ started scrolling down to see what else people were talkin about on there

Luka Doncic and the Dallas game came on immediately :snoop:

I saw that sh1t live last night, when's it going to be safe in the streets to get on social media again, I already don't plan on watching ESPN today, smh

Type of fingernails does Luka have? Barrett to be out for a week possibly more.

The 8 game win streak might have been the worst thing to happen to this team…

This is embarrassing, and the Knicks brass will act like nothing is wrong. They need to pull Thibs to the side & tell to get his stuff together and if he refuses, tell him to pack his bags.

*EDIT* As far as the RJ injury goes, he probably got stitches on that finger and can’t bend that finger until they’re removed. If this isn’t the opportunity for Thibs to go deeper into the bench and extend the rotation, nothing will.

It’s one thing for fans on twitter and the media to laugh at us… but when stars in the league think our coach is a joke, we have a bigger problem…

Yup. I understand not wanting to have a coaching carousel like the previous regimes, but when the coaching is a GLARING issue, a discussion or change has to be made.

Like you said players are even low key calling him out. Jamal Crawford was on NBA TV and said something along the lines that he was surprised at what the Knicks were doing late in the game, and Matt Barnes straight said dude was lying about Cam & Fournier's minutes. Knicks are slowly losing the respect that they worked so hard to get back after being the punchline of jokes for the past decade

He's right, Luka was KILLING off of that pick and roll. Our guards couldn't fight over the screens, they were gassed and dying on screens all night, and Thibs had our bigs dropping back all the way towards the rim. It's fukking Luka, that man scores at every level, you don't want to give him a running lane towards the basket he'll work magic from mid range, and the momentum made it easier to finish over our bigs. Thibs really made no adjustments; he could've had our bigs drop towards the FT line instead, iced him off of the screen, or blitzed him and forced him to pass to the roller so he could make a play, anything. Luka is a superstar so we likely still get killed, but force him to make an extra pass, make him think a bit. Instead Luka had some easy ass reads behind some very solid screens. Luka got a very easy 60 on us.

This is isn't an indictment against drop coverage, it works, it just doesn't work when your on ball defenders cant get over screens and you're playing a team with a player who can literally do everything on offense. We really should've played Luka closer to the level of the screen down the stretch at least.

He fits the “highly touted prospect that underachieved as a freshman” thing that this FO loves. Dude was getting top-prospect hype for a while.

He’s got good size (I think his frame can take on some solid weight and strength). His scoring ability is legit. And he looks like he really worked on his game after struggling last year.

It’s also notable that he was really young even for a freshman.

I’m not advocating for a top-ten pick on Bates or anything drastic. But if you can take a flier on him in the 20-30 range, with a trade down that nets an additional future asset. That’s the type of move our FO tends to enjoy. They get to have their cake and eat it too; grab a prospect and also maintain options in the future.
Would love to see Emoni in NY
