I also don’t want them to rest on their laurels and start thinking they don’t got room to improve.

Fair but let me rephrase it. Would Thibs have given him play time over L-Frid/Kemba/D-Rose & other vets?

Tyrese came in playing well. I don’t think Thibs holds him back or they even get Kemba with him here.

Like this is all hypothetical, but it’s easier for me to see them pulling the Mitchell trade with Tyrese here and going with a Mitchell, Randle, Tyrese core because RJ would have been more expendable and they would not have needed to get Brunson.

That’s how far that bad pick affected things.

as long as we play defense, which was my biggest issue before the streak, we will be fine. i am open to making trades while we are hot tho, instead of trying to do it during bad times

Agreed, but that means you recognize there is room to grow. Getting too hype on what they had is what led to all the vets getting re-signed to run it back. They look good now but they got room for improvement.

He played RJ heavy minutes from day one. Tyrese came into the league looking way more ready than Toppin did. At worst he would have have likely been a Grimes situation where he is getting time by the end of the season.

Thibs is an a$$hole but I don’t think he ignores Tyrese like he does Toppin because the guys who would have been ahead of Tyrese weren’t better than him.

I know Brunson and Ju will get the heavy praise but congratulations to Mitchell Robinson for being top 4 in Knicks history for blocks. Also for his 500th one
