@storyteller keep it a buck.. Quiet as kept, to start the season barrett was playin trash.. Its easier for knicks fans to play Randle is the issue, the card, he the cancer

And maybe he aint the answer, but he aint been playing worse then barrett, u were juss in here talkin bout how barretts numbers werent so bad just a week ago

Even delusional knick fans said he wasnt playing well because he was ill

, but it been this way all Year and a good portion of the year before

Barrett was Knicks TV poster boy as the future, last year and the past off szn, and they all startin to admit he lookin funny in the light.. And has to get it together

No one sayin rose should play 25 to 30 mins.. Sure some games maybe he kan if situation kalls for it, anywherz between 17 to 20 to start season would be fair

But he shouldn't be benched for a chucker, like IQ playin double the mins, and bein half as effecient.. Especially when rose has it goin

The point isnt total mins.. Its when he is played and how he is played, to start season with rotations he averging 12 mins a good few times even less, therz has been specific games where he has got t going and been subbed out thats on thibs

Aint no one expecting rose to. Play 30mins a game.. Thats kap
I'll keep it buck. I just said RJ is playing like shyt. What more you want to hear? He's been streaky his whole career. A lot of people like the idea of young players but then don't want to deal with the issues that come with having young players. They're inconsistent, they have obvious flaws and sometimes that shyt doesn't go away. Barrett and Obi became poster boys because they played well when no one else did last year. But no one ordained them as a guaranteed anything. Fans want the way cleared out so these dudes can sink or swim.

And you're still ignoring the reality about Rose. He physically cannot handle a bigger workload. I ASKED for a bigger workload for him, there are a few recaps this year where I allude to as much. He just started getting that bigger workload. His play looked better for sure, but he got hurt and sat out the second half. That's after five games with a bigger role in the offense. He couldn't last 6 games in the role you wanted without needing time off.

And just for the sake of crystal clarity. The role has been, first guard off the bench and checking in for Brunson. He's literally gotten lead guard minutes with the starters for the past 6 games...but

Us Rose fans are weird huh
I remember Rose’s first stint in NY when he was playing with Melo and Porzingaz and averaged 18ppg, these delusional Knick fans wanted him off the team and wanted more playing time for Ron Baker and the Chasson Randle (or whatever his name is). :mjlol:

Neither of them are anywhere near the league.

I’m not a Knicks fan but watching Brunson yesterday made me proud of him. He put the team on his back and continued to lead even though the Suns were going on their runs and eventually blow them out. He and Grimes were the only players worth a damn yesterday. Julius struggled from the field and his body language showed it. The man just gave after halftime. They seriously need to trade all these bums and start over building around Brunson, because everybody else are straight up scrubs or need a change of scenery.

I hope SGA don’t hang 40 on y’all again. OKC is tough to win at when a team is struggling :francis:

What is this foolishness :heh:

Fans turned on Rose because he decided to no-call no-show basketball games in the middle of the gotdamn season.

He just started getting more minutes and got injured immediately after. Yall keep ignoring the injury-prone elephant in the room when we discuss why Rose doesn't get more playing time.
welll he probably got hurt from playin spot minutes all season and never knowin when he's gonna actually play lol

we are in no position to be "saving players for later in da season". we one losin streak away from being in the lottery. if he's good to play now, play him, and deal with whatever comes from it. we aint askin him to play 40 mins like 2 years ago

but he cant do shyt with 12 mins either.

.

The real Elephant in the Room is RJ got Paid BIG M's and aint take the Leap, and now everyone on this team is paying for it..from the Coach all the way Down..

Fournier gettin benched. Rose havin nulbers kut, your makin way for 1 of the most ineffecient startin guards in the league.. Not hittin shots x now not even playing reasonable D, which was a kallin kard of his last year.. ( bein a better 2 way player)

He aint that guy.. Its simple

I said it when u drafted Grimes x Sims.. You did good wit bith and in a few years Grimes will have lapped RJs progress. That stance aint changin..
Talk to ‘em :wow:

I don't think so.

It tracks like they were bringing him along slowly to make sure he was good. He played less than 13 minutes 3 out of the first 5 games and four out of the first 10. After that 10 game marked, he played 11 minutes once and was over 13 minutes for the next 5 straight. Then he came off for the toe injury.

We're talking about a minutes bump from 13 mpg to more like 14 mpg in the past five. It wasn't anything crazy in terms of playing time. But the bigger shift was that he played on the ball more, and with/against starters more.

I agree that we can't worry about saving players with this roster. But dude's legs were not consistently there for the first handful of games. Once they were back, he got his minutes and role back. But he got hurt again. Hopefully it's a quick thing, he's only listed as Questionable tonight.

Grimes is better than RJ at everything except getting to the rim and rebounding.

I don’t know how long this charade can continue but I feel bad for dude he is straight embarrassing out there especially since his leash is so long.

According to box plus minus RJ has been one of the very worst players in the league.

The only starters worse are Jeremy Sochan and Jabari Smith, both rookies.

Doing a deep dive on Barrett isn't worth it, breh just sucks at everything. Admitting you wasted such a high pick on someone then doubling down on that terrible mistake is hard, but the man has one good stretch over the course of a season and a half. It wasn't like he was breaking down defenses and hitting stepbacks when he was playing good either, just the same shyt he's doing now. He's getting wide open spot ups and he isn't even close to hitting. This is like Ntilikina part 2 without the defense. RJ looked like he had more athleticism in his rookie season, I thought he'd be a great slasher who wouldn't be able to shoot, but he's terrible in that regard too. 4 years in and RJ's handle is still basic.

I don't understand how he hit 40% of his threes his second season..... if it wasn't for RJ's hot streak last year I would've been ready to throw that man in the bushes months ago. He'll probably pick up his play, but can we really build around a man who takes 2 months to get into playing form? At this point treat him like Randle, if he hits a hot streak trade him while we can.

This team probably would be average if RJ went to the bench, Grimes took his minutes and Fournier was in the rotation. Unfortunately RJ has to play otherwise he'll become legit untradable.
