U put the likes of Gabe Vincent, Kyle Lowry, Darius Garland on any league average SF and allow them to take open jumpers on top of that and you’ll get the same result and better

Some of these deals getting signed are straight trash. Bruce Brown, Jerami Grant, Fred Vanvleet, Kyle Kuzma, all just terrible decisions. I think from now on if these caliber of players don't agree to a reasonable contract extension early, then you trade them without exception.

It also puts in perspective why Quick looking for "9 figures" isn't crazy at all. Teams won't hesitate to hand a 4/100 offer sheet to a 25yo ascending guard like him next summer and bank on him continuing to improve and thrive with more usage. It's a gamble cut from the same cloth as the one we took with Brunson last summer.

Yeah Quick is getting 100 million. I think the FO probably wanted to see what the market was before doing it and that’s the market. I still think they push for that fifth year and might give him more.
