Begley did a really good job covering every angle on the Divincenzo rumors. FIrst, how it works financially and why Josh Hart extending his opt-in time was so important...


Next up we get to the basketball reasons for the signing. DiVincenzo had a really strong season, and he brings elements the Knicks covet for their rotation.



Last we get into the impact on the current roster. Begley's speculating the same thing I am. Signing DiVincenzo would be a precursor to a follow-up move(s). The Knicks would be able to package one (or more) of their young wings with Fournier's expiring to bring in a new piece.

Yeah, I don't see why they'd make that move unless they have moves locked in. I can't see them giving away a pick to dump Fournier unless there's more movement to come.

I'm wondering how much Detroit would be willing to pay given their current roster. They've got a jumbo PG in Cade, plus Ivey and Thompson for young wings that they'll want to get plenty of minutes. They picked up Alec Burks' option too. The Bulls do have minutes to offer and a good situation for him, though.

Bro Knicks could send Toppin and picks with Fournier or a Fournier TPE and it fixes a lot of the roster.

And outside of that Prime Rose Bulls team this would be the best “Thibs Team” in existence. They’ve tried to get him twice before, but him being Klutch always made me think it was a stretch. Him being on CAA I could see them pushing the button and give Masai the 4 first rounders he wanted. Especially if that lets them keep the kids they are giving minutes too.

Things are getting interesting with the Raptors too. The Rockets about to offer FVV 2/85. Raptors are going to have to make space to keep him or trade for a PG.

The Knicks could send them space….. Knicks could send them IQ. I prefer to think it’s space but let’s see what happens.
