Carol kind of selfish, but I guess she's trying to come to terms with the level of crazy that she's able to operate on. I think Carol changed her mind about leaving seeing how close the Saviors are. She is probably setting up shop, watching the Saviors while the Saviors are watching Alexandria. She is definitely lurking

They're all selfish. Every time a character leaves because they have to "finish something". It's another example of being selfish. Daryl did it, Morgan, Denise, Gabriel, Rosita, Abraham, Enith, etc etc. The list goes on. Whenever a character goes off on their own for one of those self reflection trips, it weakens the group and puts everyone in danger. I'd argue Glen is probably the most selfless in the group.

edit: It's Daryl or Rick that will die - i try to psych myself out thinking it would be Eugene but it's one of the main 5 that going to get hit with the bat. That means it's Daryl or if the show decides to go off it's rocker...Rick

Rick would actually make for a very interesting plot....finally freeing himself from being taken further down. The question is who takes the lead role? That would probably allow Glenn, who just killed his first person naturally thrust in the lead role.

this would make sense ...also there'd be a bit of role reversing when it comes to Neegan...

There's absolutely 0% chance it's Rick. This whole season has been about building up Rick's hubris to the point that he feels unstoppable then bringing him crashing back down to earth. The finale is going to humble him in the most monumental way possible.
