To me this is just another example that Kanye has no real principles outside of egoism. In the past he has been very adamant about how paparazzi and celebrity media is evasive, and violates the privacy of people. Yet here he is buying one of those very same pictures and using it out of context, to sell a product.

One more thing: remember a couple months ago when Lorde made a subliminal joke about Whitney's bathtub suicide, and the Coli thread was full of people getting mad?
Cac Musician Lorde posts disrespectful Whitney Houston pic

Nobody mad about Kanye tho. Interesting.
:hubie:

Good point, I remember that thread.

the album cover is great (but hey I love creepy disturbing shyt). I doesn't fit Pusha persona and the theme of his music. It's more of Danny Brown/odd future type of style.

True.

The weird thing is that if they wanted something "edgy" or whatever they could've easily recreated it. I mean brehs are making entire movies looking like real life so if that's what they wanted they could've made it, even more so since we know Kanye's deep in the industry and has access to all kinds of photographers and whatnot. So yeah, not feeling this move either.

The pic was in bad taste

But good taste never been ye's strong suit

Pusha wasn't gonna question ye about it

And if you pressed them both to really explain the significance of the photo as an album cover to signify the music somehow, they wouldn't be able to

Kanye did it for shock and some base level 'pusha raps about drugs, this some real drug shyt'

But pusha don't be rapping about the aspect of his past he glorifies that that bathroom represents.

People still care about album covers in the streaming era? Now if the vinyl comes out I’ll understand

A drug den doesn't fit the theme of Pusha T's music? :skip:

It's not about whether the photo we public record or not. This nikka was just at tmz 2 weeks ago talking about how celebrities deal with invasions to their privacy and how it makes them depressed and self conscious... Then he turns right around and exploits the legacy of one of our cultures greatest entertainers depicting paraphernalia from some of her darkest and hardest times. She's been dead 6 years and her name been dragged through the mud enough. You felt it was cool to dig through her shyt for the world to see when she can't even defend it orv explain it for your bullshyt tape? It was distasteful and I hope Drake bodies Pusha even further as karma for this shyt.

Man stfu.. fake outrage

You cool until you go with I hope Drake bodies Pusha...thats going off into the most insignificant shyt..
