Good movie. She is more westernized than him and he's still in Korea in the film. The white dude felt some type of way because he didn't know her on the same level as he did. In terms of artistry I thought it was a great film.Breh about time somebody in the Asian community address this affair. Bad enough, its all in the movies especially this god awful wankfest of embracing "white prince"
Back to the topic at hand though - I tend to feel bad for Asian men because I know many AW with white boyfriends and husband's. I tend to assume when I meet an Americanized Asian woman they are very white adjacent in their thinking. I am more cautious of them than white women. The exceptions are Filipinos in my mind because I've known quite a bit and they tend to be culturally aligned with other minorities.
I checked a friend's (white guy) wife (Vietnamese American) one time when she said she didn't like MLK because she cheated on his wife. I told her he fought for civil rights for myself and immigrants too which is why you had the opportunity to be here. She shut up then.
