White people think how they talk with their favroite rapper is how you connect with black people of any background. Always bothered me, i stopped making white friends after i invited a white kid to my church and he was dapping up all the old church ladies and shyt.
I remember going to some conference and this Jewish millionaire strikes up a conversation with me and immediately brings up how he grew up poor in the streets and how he remembers the days when his parents could barely put food on the table. I was tolerating it at first until I heard him say that he used to watch Good Times and was able to relate to every episode. :duck: :duck:

Dude was trying way too hard to be "down."

Reminds me of this customer I had a while back that used to come off like he was "with it". He would say shyt like "I would rather being chilling at the house dawg, yaknowhatImsayin?"

While my co workers were entertaining his nonsense. I'm like this, I can smell bullshytter a crawl a way. Don't come at black folks like on some code switching shyt, when you don't get the JavaScript.

Just be you. Now if you are familiar with the cookout, COME ON IN...just don't touch my leaves :ehh:

:umad:Im all for it lol. Call it code switching or whatever. But white people be going full Tarantino/ I’m down white person. Whenever talking to black people. Especially in professional settings. shyt come off disrespectful and racist. Best believe she wouldn’t have. Used any slang talking to a white mayor.

That's my thinking.

Sure, DMN is really just trying to bust the union and doesn't care that much about what she did.........but that informal way of speaking to a Black man that is at least 20 years her senior seems "off."

Addressing a 20 year old Black male college student as "breh"....sure. Addressing a damn near 50 year old Black male as "breh" when you're a 20-something white broad is tacky. If she knew him like that, cool....but they clearly don't have that kind of relationship.

Having said ALL THAT.......DMN is shady as fukk and has been since forever. They are using this story to pass off white people and get them on that "damn nigras using the Race Card" shyt.....when all this is about is DMN attempting to break a union. Highland Park and the Dallas Citizens Council have had them in their back pocket for generations.

Smh

Live long enough and get into certain in environments and every black person has experiences like that

A memorable one that I didn't even mind/got offended by was a white producer on a tv show I was working debating which Beanie Sigel album was better between The Truth or The Reason. Like he was going through the album cuts breaking the albums down lol.

I'm talkin a 50 something, nasally white dude. shyt blew my mind, I was thinkin oh this dude cool as hell. Later I came to realize he was a dikkhead and unhygenic dude

They buried the lede...

...She helped organize a union protest. On top of the "bruh" comment, which to me is innocuous, they had reason to fire her

Yup. This aint about no goddamn bruh and if anyone on here calls that shyt racist, yall clowns.

She gave them a convenient little out and blockheads gonna “pro-black” their way out if seeing that. It aint the first or last time a labor organizer gets fired, but this one is one of the most nakedly obvious with this deflection.
Wrong.

She was fired for her unprofessionalism & racial comment. The mayor, her superior, and the HR director are all black men/women, and they all came to the conclusion that she broke decorum and that the race of the mayor is why she felt comfortable crossing that line There was no correlation/causation w/ the union protests as the rest of her colleagues who participated are still gainfully employed. She along w/ the writer are latte liberals, so naturally they are going to play the union angle instead of the race card. But like a typical white woman, she will not take accountability. Let her hang.

I was walking on a trail the other day. I’m walking past a basketball court and some kids walking towards it walk past me. One of the little dudes, had to be about eight, head nodded me and said “What’s up bruh”. shyt threw me all the way off. :dead:

When I was 8 talking to a 36 year old man it would have been “Hello sir” or some shyt. :dead:
Damn....
When you put it in perspective like that compared to back in the days......... crazy! :(
-As usual this is all about where/how you came up. If you walked past a Black man in their 30's in my neighborhood in the 80's "what's up" was the proper greeting sometimes followed by something like "brotha", with a woman you added shyt like "shorty/girl/sexy" etc. Outside formal things respected elders & seniors were the only ones that got called "sir/ma'am" besides police/judges etc. White people got "hi/hello/hey" type greetings.

-Whenever you hear "back in the day" shyt always understand the person's not speaking for all Black people, it's their personal experience.

Good....Non-Black people, always do this shyt to Black people in a power position.

This is the samething that happened to Deion Sanders with that White news reported.

This comes from White people insecurities, because they know that they have White Supremacy which help them become successful and it helps keep Black people at them bottom. When they see a Black person push through the obstacles that White Supremacy put in place for Black people, especially in America, they get mad at themselves because they are working some shytty ass job.

You see this all the time from athletes, like Dominique Wilks when he was denied access to a resturant in Atlants, to your everyday Black person who works hard to live in a nice area, so have some White person come and ask "do you live here"

That video

:russ:

You could almost see a representation of that man’s pride on his shoulder like…”We‘ve got to do something Brad”
