so the one drop rule no longer applies? this rule is confusing
It was never really a thing.
ODR type policies came about in the early 20th C after decades of fear from white Southerners that with the massive changes in social structure after full black emancipation former racial buffer groups like Creoles, Melungeons, Lumbees, etc (whose position had become obsolete) would start blending out into the "white" population. Thereby tainting and mongrelizing (and a whole bunch of other bullshyt and supremacist blah, blah, blah) them and further creating a gateway to whiteness for highly mixed people.

After Emancipation racial divisions were simplified; you (your group, community, people) were either white or you weren't. Being a mixed group might bring a slight decrease in degradation but you still were far from the basic human/civil rights that whiteness afforded, plus you were isolated socially, geographically and economically plus you lacked any real political power/impact.

:pachaha: Raised as a white woman? She is a white woman.
I was talking about brehs saying maybe her mom did it for a better life after this chick already said that in the video.

I have "white passing " family and they weren't raised "white " they take offense to being called white. My point is she was raised as a white woman but wanna use this shyt to identify now. She never lived this shyt. I'm speaking on upbringing breh...

First of all you only know he from the UK cuz I stated it. He only said he has lived in the U.S. in this thread and that he isn't African :heh:

The bolded is pretty much all anyone needs to see. :sas1: What makes him come off African?

What else would he be? Despite him saying what he isn't clearly? You still insist on it :deadmanny:

That my friend is what you call an agenda. You carry a bias and look for "evidence" to confirm said bias in the real world. You goofy brehs are hilarious.

Keep exposing yaselves :sas2:
African nikkas is the only ones that be ashamed to admit what they are and where they come from. I've seen that nikka rep the UK before this thread.

Caribbean nikkas is more similar to AAs than Africans are. I can tell who what by the way y'all type. I don't have an agenda you nikkas just have low self esteem.

Center self, inner self
Paul Mooney joke & bit about this topic.
Fans already know that Mooney and his family are originally from Louisiana.

HARSH LANGUAGE and parts of this routine are LOUD

I think that's the same special where he talks about Diane Sawyer asking Oprah if she wishes she was white. He was like, even Lena Horne who look white would have been pissed on some "no hunny! Are you drunk, hunny?"

Above the fray.

Different standup routine.I do remember the Oprah joke.....I avoided looking up that interview because I knew that if I watched it and confirmed, I'd instantly lose all respect for Oprah.I've looked at sideways since hearing the joke.

Barbara Walters "Did you ever want to be white?"
Oprah "............eh....yess'im Miss Barbara"

Mooney is razor sharp, the part about Lena Horne just knocks it out of the park.

The greatest comic writer EVER.

White people in stories like this and white people's reactions to this kind of thing are always amusing.
They really don't have to deal with race and its complications and its harsh realities.

"I found out a small fraction of my ancestors weren't the race I assumed they were! I just don't know who I am anymore"
"What does 'col' and 'B' mean when it lists race?"
And every inane question from Kelly and dumbass shocked reaction from that blonde right behind the interviewee.
:laff:

Seriously, whole video was jokes
