Just like in other countries where there is no "one drop rule" and they dont consider themselves black they'll suddenly feel all superior to the rest and start to forbid their daughters from dating "Negroes". See South Africa, United Kindom and many others all over the caribbean and the Americas or predominantly black countries.

I grew up in south Louisiana . The closer to white The better off some of "lite brites" thought they were.
Key word was thought.
I will say the children of those people in that video don't think the way some if their parents did.

This is another very important post. A key observation that a lot of us miss. We should have deep respect for the light brights mulattos and quadroons that decided they wanted to be black. This is something lot of Africans and Caribbean people don't fully comprehend . Good drop.

Melo tracked his furthest family member on his fathers side as a black slave woman in Venezuela. Son is indeed black any way you cut it.
