If there is absolutely no grounds for an arrest how can you be charged for resisting arrest?:gucci: I'm glad the judge tossed the charges in the bushes. You'd think the city governments would get tired of handing out millions in civil suits by now.

Never in my life would I see something suspicious and follow someone while alerting the cops. I saw a Bobby Shmurda looking kid hop off a bus with a gun tucked into his back. The handle was fully exposed for everyone to see. It's summer and there's a hundred people out on the east side of Manhattan. I'm standing right next to a cop. Once I saw he wasn't heading towards the building I work in it wasn't any of my business so I kept it moving :hubie:

White logic.

Cause sitting the car helped Philando Castillo right?

White logic, cop logic, whatever you wanna call it; it should be something to familiarize yourself with to minimize fukked up situations. Staying in the car is infinitely better than leaping out when pulled over. No reason to unnecessarily put a cop on extra alert. You already listed a perfect example what an adrenaline infused officer can do.

Right but I just think in that moment he had a lapse. Like the guy was trying to go out his way to prove that he wasn't a threat.

Because I mean come on, it's not like brothers haven't been shot reaching for their wallet, while sitting in their car. I think dude was fukked either way. They would have have made up some bs to justify their misconduct regardless. You saw how quick they were to label Lawerence as resisting arrest while the cop is punching him. Why would a guy who knowing complied with his hands straight up, start resisting arrest. Am I supposed to believe that a guy who's simply telling the officers this is his car, and he's a student up the street, is mysteriously starting resist to arrest, after being over compliant.

I'm just glad everything was caught on tape so that there were little gray areas.

Lapses like that can get you shot. Have to be strategic when asserting yourself during a stop. You know cops have enormous cushion when justifying their actions.

Interesting reddit thread, police are getting tired of getting called for this shyt.
People, please stop making my job so difficult. (self.ProtectAndServe) submitted 1 year ago by [deleted]x3
Ya know, I'm just going to complain and get some stuff off my chest.

So I'm working last week and get dispatched to a call of 'Suspicious Activity.' Ya'll wanna know what the suspicious activity was? Someone walking around in the dark with a flashlight and crow bar? Nope. Someone walking into a bank with a full face mask on? Nope.

It was two black males who were jump starting a car at 930 in the morning. That was it. Nothing else. Someone called it in.

People. People. People. If you're going to be a racist, stereotypical jerk...keep it to yourself. Don't call the police and make them get involved into your douchebaggery.

That's all. End rant.

I got a call once about someone illegally fishing in a community pond. The complainant advised that they had lived there for years, and knew that the person fishing didn't live in the community.

Once I arrive, I see a middle aged black man fishing in the pond. He looks over when I pull up and immediately approaches me. He said, "Let me guess, my racist neighbors called again saying that I didn't live here."

"Yes, sir. That is what the caller said."

"Here's my license. I've lived here for 10 years, and they call on me every once and a while."

"I'm sorry to have bothered your fishing. Have a good day, and good luck with your horrible neighbors."

OMG yes!! When I was a 911 call taker, you would not BELIEVE the amount of "suspicious person" calls that came in. When I would ask for clarification as to WHAT was suspicious about the individual, most would mumble, stumble or even whisper "Umm, he's/she's black" or "Muslim-looking" or "tranny" or some other variant of prejudicial or hateful opinion.

Given my job, I couldn't just flat out call out their racism, but knew how to tap dance on that line to get the caller to recant their complaint. "Ma'am, it's not illegal to be black (or Muslim, or Mexican, etc)..." usually worked. Some would apologize for "wasting my time," but most would get huffy and still demand we send an officer.

I got a call for 2 black males who crashed a stolen vehicle and fled. Caller even described the ignition as having been tampered with.

The black males owned the car. They got a flat tire. Rolled it into a parking lot out of traffic, then walked home while they decided what to do. The car was locked, clean, no damage inside.

People call all the time because someone (unfortunately 90% of the time black) looks out of place in the area. I usually just go up and contact them and chat with them. I will straight up tell them that some nosey neighbor called because they looked "suspicious." I even sometimes do the finger quotes to let them know that I think it's BS.

True story: At my old department we had take home vehicles. When we'd do inservice training, uniforms were not mandatory. I'm sure you're ahead of me here... A citizen called in and said a patrol was stolen and driving down the highway.

You guessed it, officer was black and in his civilian cloths.

Last weekend, I was dispatched to a "suspicious activity" where the caller complained of a black male in an older model brown sedan backing into every driveway in the neighborhood. I found him and immediately saw what he was doing- delivering phonebooks. His car was loaded with 'em. Half-million dollar houses and the neighbors freak out because they think a black man driving an old whip around in their cookie cutter neighborhood is "suspicious" and "out of place." "Did somebody call?" I said yes and apologized to him. Poor guy was just doing his job, and from his reaction, it sounded like that wasn't the first time he'd been called on.

My favorite is the "black man walking down the street" call. As in just walking down the street not bothering anyone. Sigh.

1-2 year old thread but let's you know how many "suspicious looking black man" stories keep getting repeated over and over again. :smh:

Wtf :gucci:

Wait is the police officer comforting the woman while the man is on the floor?!

And they used a black guy in the response video :laff::stopitslime: empty handed strikes

He got jumped. He was jumped by police officers.

Omg the response video @20 min "I said to him 'I didn't shoot you, you should feel lucky for that' " *laughter*

Man seriously what the fukk. :dahell:

Glad u had the patience to watch 20 minutes of this fukkboy c00n copping pleas for his employer:scust:...they really said they told that kid to feel lucky he didnt shoot him:snoop:

The fact they can do this shyt to people, especially US obviously, and not feel any remorse tells u what kindve people you dealing with....the department is full of phsychopaths and followers, hitlers and nazis willing to go along and cooperate with sick shyt the phsychopaths do..

Cops can do this type of shyt to people and go on they way, make jokes seconds after the fact.....are they trained not to show empathy for lawsuit purposes,or do they just have none.

If i got some shyt like that wrong, and beat somebody up in the proccess i would be apoligizing profusely:mjcry:....i guess apologies dont make it better but its better then seeing cops laughing after they just fukked you amd your night up....yet we would be considered crazy if we retaliated on these "heroes":pacspit:

I was in a private school which was mostly white and this girl got me sent to the principal's office because she said that I showed her my underwear, which was a lie.
