The mistake was done with Dems voting in Hillary over Bernie.

Bernie had huge support in the rust belt states. He was going to inherent all of those Obama votes and instead they voted in a corporatist in Hillary.

She had insane amount of support from black communities in southern states.
Bernie didn’t have black support because he was selling dreams and black voters are political realists. And he spent more time attacking democrats who are the only viable option for minority candidates.

He was running on a strong platform of criminal justice reform. That's something that directly impacts the black community.

Hillary offered nothing but platitudes and southern tropes. They voted for her based on tokenism because of her husband.

Hilary had 30 years of influence and good will. Bernie didn’t. Stop lying already. Plus she was the most liked politician for the 6 consecutive years prior to Obama leaving office.

Black voters are not going to gamble on some new unproven toy who can’t even bother to label himself as a democrat.

Dems are going to have to do whatever it takes to get Alito and Thomas seats. That means having to win the next three or four elections.
No one gives a shyt, though.
I'm almost resigned to the fact that the fash will win. Too many apathetic Dems and hostile Progs.

You are clearly a Hillary supporter. I'd probably go as far as saying you have a vested interest in the Democratic party somehow.

Bearnie had the clout of actually pushing criminal justice reform over decades. He was also a strong propnent of universal healthcare, removal of student debt and income redistribution. These are all things that would have impacted black community positively.

Just say he wasn't as 'popular' in the media as the centrist corporate hawks that you have been campaigning for and keep it moving. He was actually very popular among the rust belt working class, where Hillary pretty much lost ground to Trump to, and also more popular with young voters

He would have beaten Trump, now the Dems are faced with a lopsided Supreme Court.

Has it always been like this? The supreme court I mean. Has it always been so political? It means the institution is completely broken. A court which regulates administrative law is supposed to be apolitical. It's supposed to stop politicians from rigging the system in their favour, not be an active ally in doing that. The whole idea of checks and balances in a constitution relies on the checks and balances constantly fighting against each other, not working together
No
The Supreme Court is supposed to be non partisan, but it's been trending that way since about the 1980s
