Doesn't really matter who or what age was killing her. I wouldn't expect every white person (or even Black folks) in their twenties or younger to be familiar with DJ Screw. Wasn't that long ago there were plenty of young Black folks who weren't familiar with that sound until A$asp got a little popular and they started exploring his influences. And yeah white people steal sh!t, or come late to the party and try to erase what preceded them, but this is just a case of youthful ignorance. And she corrected herself, put a new video up and the Houston scene is getting a little bit of attention after being criminally underrated and not mentioned throughout the years.
There's a lot of casuals in this culture and music that don't know it all. I've been listening to this sh!t since Video Vibrations and Donnie Simpson, and I'm still learning. That said, the virtue signalling and faux outrage on Twitter is just that.

Isn't Slater black himself? While Chopped and Screwed is definitely the originator, there is definitely a difference between the Slowed and Reverb and Chopped and Screwed. I've been listening to both style for a while.
First and foremost, the Chopping of the lyrics isn't even used in Slowed and Reverb songs, it's just slowed down. Also the reverb effect gives it a different sound than that of a screwed song.
