I dont think too many people take in how HOLY DJ screw made his music. He didn't just slowed it down, he knew what songs to mix and mash with other songs to blend it smoothly. He also scratch the record with the instrumental still playing making the vocals repeated. This man had crazy disc jockey skills. He'll also distort the music and vocals to give it more atmosphere.

This man was a genius.

The song I always think of from that time period re: chopped-and-screwed is Big Moe's "Purple Stuff" and that was out in 2002! I'm old as hell, I guess, and that white girl in the video damn sure don't look eighteen.
