I didn't watch....and at the risk of being controversial, I don't agree with him but I will say this:
there is a part of the White and Jewish community that is liberal and philanthropic and donates generously to certain Black causes, HBCUs, etc. You can argue if the money is spent/used well or if there is an ulterior motive like control or co-opting but some amount of support is there.
We hardly ever see that from the Hispanic, Asian, Arab, or Indian communities. So while I would be careful with who we call 'allies' we have a long relationship with some Whites. We basically don't with any of these other groups.
Go to any of the Black museums or web pages of Black foundations, groups, and look at the donor list. A lot of White Anglo or Jewish names and family foundations, some White ethnics. Not a lot of Chens, Patels, or Gonzalez.
