You're obviously well versed in this... Does China have a military base in Europe? I'm not being facetious, I genuinely would like to know. Why the need for them in Africa?

Since I read a lot on geopolitics but by NO MEANS as expert, as a matter of conjecture, I'd posit that even if the EU would want it, NATO/ The US would go into def-con 5 just at the thought of it. There's US bases there to keep the containment of Russia and a Chinese base would undermine that a lot. It's would be a lot easier to do so in Afrika than Europe. It'd would accelerate WW3 than a 2nd or even third Cold War.

Notice they're immediately portraying the African population boom as inherently negative even by begrudgingly admitting that it is in line with the quick economic growth seen in the continent.

An example of the wonders this will have in Africa is simple actually. Botswana is one of the more resource rich nations when compared to its population. Aids affects it heavily atm. But a new gen of children born safe, and healthy will greatly diminish their rates along with their ability to quarantine the disease. Now you have a new gen of educated, well-fed kids who can sustain future populations and continue economic growth. A once impoverished nation can become developed within a mere generation if even that.

The key to success has always been population sustainability. The world is hella scared of a young Africa. Youth can't be deceived as readily as seniors born without education.

Africa can readily sustain 4 billion people.

That's what I'm getting at... So China does business with Africa and then they say, " Hey since we're here, can we throw in some extra money and put a military base here too?" We already know whatever telecommunications infrastructure they set up will be bugged too. Again, I'm thinking about this from a limited understanding. What good are the natural resources when you can't even protect them? Aren't some countries in Africa in a huge amount of debt to the Chinese?

What if the Chinese just say fukk it and decide to just take their sh1t? Africa doesn't have a military that can put up a fight against them, especially when their bases are on the continent.

WHy do you think those rich countries are pouring tons of money to rise their birth rates?

One of the reasons behind Europe domination of the world in the 19th century was the rise of its demography.

It does not mean that demography itself will save us, but it's a tool if it's used wisely. There is a reason why a lot of people in the West are SCARED of african demography.

True but that has been a historically recent development. Europe's wave of colonization occurred after a robust increase in the population and birth rate, right after the black death. A period in which Europe looked very much like Africa does today--Europe was dominated by a succession of foreign powers from the Moors, the Turks, the Arabs, Mongols and Viking slave traders who (in a bit of historical irony) were the biggest slave traders of white Europeans. A group of impoverished warring states in thrall to a vicious and rapacious theocratic oligarchy. One of the lessons of history is that a young, vibrant population always looks outward and will be the key to the historical redemption of Ham. Brehs are too pessimistic because of our current circumstances. Ill bet on 4.5 billion Africans vs a world in deep demographic decline. The 22nd Century will be the Pax Africana and black people and their descendants will dominate the future.
